That video is on the band's youtube channel. They were lucky enough to do this wedding, and chose to be opportunistic instead of respecting Brian's privacy to have fun around family and friends.
While everything is digitally fair game, there should still, in theory, be the moral side of people being able to live their lives without everything ending up on the internet for everyone to see.
It was from the 31st August 2013 at the Natural History Museum. Brian Surprised his Daughter "Emily" at her wedding reception, by taking to the stage (steps) to perform with the "Blujays"

Agreed. They easily have advertised themselves as 'booked by Brian May',or as having played with him, but (unless he approved first) to put the clip up of a very private moment is a bit off for me.
I really don't see how this "private moment" was maculated by simple exposure. Not surprisingly, Brian is as dull as usual in his solo projects.
As for your obsession with "unless he approved first", I have the feeling of deja vu. This became already his middle name - Brian "Must approve first" May.
I don't have "an obsession" with him approving everything first, but just felt it would be the right thing to do in this case. I'm not going to lose too much sleep about it.

How clever you are. You even felt the need to repeat your poor attempt at humour.
It's a 67 year old man singing a Chuck Berry cover for fun, not someone at their creative peak reinventing the wheel.
Regardless - your obvious aversion to seeing the full picture here says a lot more about you than it does about him.
Yet another person to ask - why are you posting on a Queen forum if this is how you feel about Brian?
I don't have an aversion for Brian. Would be hard for someone who listened to SHA album in the very year of its release, at the age of 11.
I like him very much as part of the band, in the "creative peak" as you say, but you must admit the creative peak was collective, not individual.
The words "unless he approved first" reminded me in an unpleasant way some recent situations when things where not ok until Brian said ok.
One such example is the audio mix for the montreal bluray. The new mix is "approved", the old one was "not approved". I don't like this non artistic side of him.

Well yeah - it was a mix of a rock concert done by a filmmaker who didn't know anything about mixing rock concerts.
That would be like having a bunch of sailors coming up with a bad souffle recipe and putting it out under a famous chef's name.
It's called quality control. These things are best left to the experts.
