I believe it was Justin Shirley-Smith who confirmed (on Queenzone, no less) that Mother Love was the last song Freddie recorded on May 22, 1991, and that no further work was done on any Queen tracks until October 13, 1993.
Freddie's vocals for A Winter's Tale were compiled on May 10, 1991. No word on specific dates You Don't Fool Me was recorded.

A Winters Tale was the last full song that Freddie laid down (in terms of vocals and having it laid down on the Master Sheet for the others to go by), but Mothers Love had the last vocals laid down, uncompleted, but final and last. David was not present at the final Mother Love session as Brian and Freddie recorded that from the mixing desk rather than the studio below. So everyone is right in what they have said......

And that was when Roger and John began work on what was to become Made In Heaven, right? Any specific details on what transpired before Brian showed up in (presumably) 1994?

No, he didn't say on 'any Queen tracks,' he was specifically talking about 'Mother Love.' There's obviously a chance of sessions for other songs ('Beautiful Day', etc.) taking place before the 13th of October.
