Question: In 1985, or 2014?
I have not heard the new (newer/newest?) remix since the first offering months ago.
So what exactly did they work on with Chris Thomas recently? His name isn't mentioned at all in these credits. Perhaps it's the unreleased mix of TMBMTLTT.....

Yeah, I figured as much. I'm struggling to identify where it appears in the song though.
It's got to be the clean, rhythmic, single-noted funky part that appears in the left channel very briefly at 1:56 on the new version, but is used more in the original version.

You lucky, lucky thing - your ears will be thanking you.

I'm not sure why. It's not hard to hear, but I suppose it's easy to miss if you're not looking out for it. But if you go to 01:53 in the new version, and listen to the left speaker, in a couple of seconds you'll hear the guitar enter for a few bars and then disappear.
Thank you, MercurialFreddie! I wanted to read these booklet notes, I've only heard Forever on Spotify - first Queen "album" I haven't bought on CD, maybe it will be on my wishlist for Christmas, but I never listen to CDs anymore, a bit sad actually.
No problem, it's good that John's input is present in all of the *new* tracks. As to the cd... the mastering is for me too loud, esp. on There Must Be More To Live Than This. I'd like to hear those tracks in 24/96 format but as for now the only available vinyl edition is way too expensive.
