Hello,
I've made a new mix.
I've try to follow the advices you gave me (a special thank to C-matt for his advice and kindness).
I wish you have some fun with this mix.
And don't hesitate to give me more advices: I just want to progress. link
What were you hoping to achieve with this? If it was to make it sound like it was recorded in a bathroom, with Freddie's head down a toilet bowl (next door), then you've done a good job. :)
To be honest, mixes where you just mess about with the channels have all been done, and even if this sounded better, it would still be pretty boring as there's nothing new to hear.
Have a listen to some of PiotreQ's mixes, and try to do something more interesting and original. Then, have a listen to CMatt's album revisions, where you will hear how to use channel separation and mixing to an outstanding level of professionalism, which makes tracks sound better, not worse than the originals.
Thanks to your advices...
I 'm sorry if it sounds like a bathroom version....I use Freddie vocals and Save Me (Save Me Campaign Version) found on Youtube. If you have better sources, I will be happy to use it to make a better mix.
Before to make mixes with channel separation, I must learn to use my freeware...So I keep in mind your advice and will try to apply it in some months...
CMatt gave me very good counsel to progres but the software he uses is too expensive for me. So I try to make it in audacity...
What software do you use for your mix?
So thanks for the time you use to answer me and for your 2013 mix
General.Smile;-)
I use Adobe Audition and Sony Soundforge. It's very limited what you can do with free software. But first, you need to be able to hear for yourself if something sounds good or not. If someone else had posted this mix, what would you have though of it?
