Sunday was the 28th anniversary of the Budapest concert and I found an interesting thing. A video of the full concert with no cuts and it is a multi cam so every angle is on screen it has another one bites the dust hello mary lou and your so square in video form while the quality is not the best it shows footage ling thought to be gone heres the link let me know what you think. link
This video contains content from Believe Music and EMI Music Publishing, one or more of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.
But if it's what I think it is (all 16 camera angles on one screen) it was taken by somebody in the director's room by simply pointing an old video camera to the screen, and it's available since 1986 in various quality

Yep and the Original Budapest reels were at that company till 1996 and nobody of QP had the brilliant idea to pick up the reals in these 10 years due to loss of interest and money issues with the Mafilm company.Same as Montreal gig. Now they are lost forever, and we always have to watch a incomplete show on Blu Ray
Ha ha! You don't have to apologise for that!
If you want information of what Queen have officially released check the official web queenonline.com, if you want information of all the gigs queen did during its career check the wonderful queenlive.ca
I remember some post here the answer of a question what is happen with the complete tapes from MaFilm Hungary. The answer was "the tapes was sold to QP in the late 90's"... so probably a complete concert release will come for the next anniversary, for sure!

Really? Miklos said something different , that QP were not interested in buying the full negatives
And that wouldn't surprise me in the least. It was the mid 90s, and they were grieving over Freddie. The last thing they could care about is footage of an old concert when they had a final album to complete.

Yeah and they probably regret it now!
But remember it was a different time. Now, in a lot of cases, albums are the excuse to do a tour, because today the money is made selling tickets.
Then, albums was the main thing, and concerts were only to promote the album. So, even in the 90s, an album with the last songs recorded by Mercury was more wanted than an old gig, even more because Wembley was released in full few years earlier.
Of course there is always the posibity of QP having the full negatives, but i dunno.
Considering the work that was done on the Rainbow material, there is no doubt that they would've included unseen footage on the Budapest release if they had it.
The ship sailed and it's gone.
I happen to be seeding a torrent of Budapest 16 cameras on DVD (3.88GB in size). It was never on Queezone, it was not approved of a few years ago due to being too close to official content. It has been very popular at times, the share ratio is 22.9. At least ten people downloaded it from me when the Budapest Blu Ray was released, which I find pretty funny. I hope they were downloading it as supplemental material to see what was lost (which is why I continue to seed it), but I suspect they thought it was a rip of the blu ray. I sometimes wish I could have seen their faces when they played it.

Does anybody know what's the source of this footage? It was most likely recorded by some other crew, and not by MaFilm, but is it TV report, documentary excerpt or what?

Oh come on. That footage was used in probably every official documentary. According to the voiceover this is taken from Magic Years
