Hangman_96 23.06.2014 12:48 |
If you've been a fan for 40 years, I don't think you'd be too pleased to see any of these shows. |

Would you like it to be a rumour about venues, setlists, costume changes, support acts or overall apathy from the general public? |

I claim 40 years - Saw Q with F 4 times, Q+PR twice and Q+AL once already. I claim my prize: Seeing them again presently. :-) Seriously, I'm looking forward to it happening. |

So. Just because the guy is a Queen fan of 40 years and was fortunate enough to see Queen with Freddie, doesn't mean he won't relish the opportunity to see (and HEAR) Brian and Roger playing their songs with another singer. I've been a fan for 28 years which JUST makes me old enough to have seen them with Freddie and I take every opportunity I possibly can to see and HEAR Brian & Roger play their songs. That doesn't make me any less of a fan. Thank God I'm not a Queen Nazi like you lot who adamantly refuse to accept anyone singing with "Queen" except Freddie. I pity you. He was only the bloody singer you know. The MUSIC is Brian, Roger and John. Infact, it's probably fair to say that Brian IS the sound of Queen, more than any of them. You hear Brian's guitar and you know immediately who is it and what his musical legacy is. Of course. The biggest irony is that "Lostman" and "Rocknrollover" are from Ukraine & Russia respectively and they are agreeing with each other! LOL |

Vocal harmony and brians wig, What part of my post did you not understand? I said "I don't think" which alone means it is MY own thought and MY own opinion which I MYSELF am entitled to but not anybody else. I only expressed my opinion - that was all I did. I didn't say to the OP anything like, "If you've been a fan for 40 years, I won't let you see them in concert nowadays." or anything related. Re-read my post more carefully. If I don't like this tour then I don't like it, but I'm not going to make anyone else detest it - however, I do have each and every right to express my opinion and you do have each and every right to disagree with it. And personally to brians wig - I don't have anything else to add apart from what I've just said above, but I am not a Queen Nazi fan. No. Period. Think before you speak. |

I agree with brians wig, et al. I think all of use here - 100% of us would rather see Queen than anything. I would also bet that many of us would rather see either a Brian/Roger show or with a different lead singer. BUT that doesn't mean we can't be excited to go see B&R play THAT music on a big stage. I'm going three times. I am too young to have seen Freddie...one of my biggest regrets. I got to see QPR once. (My wife was almost 9 months pregnant in 2006 so I missed out on Buffalo :( ). BUT I wasn't going to take any chances given this is most likely the last US tour. |

I saw my first show in 1974, when I was 16, and racked up 53 shows from there, counting the tribute, QPR etc, and countless solo shows, and I'm very excited to see q+al in the UK, it'll happen :-) |

45 years old, been Queen fan since Jazz, seen Queen with FM 3 times, FM tribute concert, Brian solo 4 times, Roger solo also with cross 8 times, various SAS Band concerts when the boys played including John, Queen and PR 3 times and Queen and Al once, Yes fan looking forward to seeing them maybe for the last time with Adam Lambert he's not bad, give it a go you wont be disappointed. |

So after all those pissing contests of who has seen queen more, or if he'll like it, no one has actually answered his question. going back to the very legitimate question, any uk tours in the pipeline? |
The Real Wizard 24.06.2014 01:49 |
To all you people who weren't at the shows and say Adam Lambert sucks - you're all fools. I have seen hundreds of shows in my day, and this is by FAR one of the greatest I've ever seen. Top five for sure. Lambert has graduated to the big leagues. He has matured tenfold, not just vocally but as a frontman as well. He was the perfect balance of consummate professional and flamboyant showman. The overall production was top notch, Brian and Roger were in brilliant form, and the song selection was excellent. A full review is pending. |
rocknrolllover 24.06.2014 02:13 |
The Real Wizard: Your point of view is understandable. But there are those who disagree, and who doesn't like this singer. or are you ready to destroy everyone who disagrees with you? |

I heard there might be a UK tour by Queen and Adam Lambert. Not really. But it seems unlikely to me that they would not visit the UK on what might be their last major excursion. |

I am a 1974 vintage fan who attended many, many Queen concerts in 1974-1982. I was very happy with this concert. It was not just a greatest hits concert which I would not have enjoyed as much. The setlist was pretty good for a 70's Queen fan and they including a nice block of songs from 1974. I hope that the tour goes to the UK. I do not think this ends in Perth, I expect it to end in London. |
andyb1968 24.06.2014 14:08 |
Its all part of a grand strategy to raise Queen and Glambo's profile to sell product, that's what tours have always been for. |

Having watched some videos from Chicago I thought it was a bit exaggerated what AL does on stage |
softcalavera2 25.06.2014 13:48 |
Yes...i am agree with you queen79luca, is exaggerated what AL does on stage. I think that Paul Rodgers had the correct position on stage. Yes, ok...PR is not AL...but PR was located in the correct place. |
