Richard has finally fixed the links and credits on the 'Stage of Champions'.
I'd value any feedback regarding my latest three tracks:-
- Reaching Out

- Liar link
- Father To Son link

I've checked out "Liar" so far and I think it's pretty good. You are really able to recreate some of their sounds. The Intro sounding a bit "sterile" to me but maybe it's just me or my soundsystem. The bassline is also well done.
Well, that's just it, depending on which drum pack you use, there are tools to remove that "machine gun" drum sound. BFD has an "Anti-machine gun" type setting. That's why I asked which one you used.
Yes, there are 'humanise' type processes which put a touch of randomness into the rhythm (to change the mechanical sounding drum fills) but that's only a small part of the problem... putting in the inflections, subtle velocity (and tonal) changes and many other things that drummers instinctively do (I'm a guitarist). I've created some drum tracks which sound convincing but they tend to be the simpler patterns and with less fills.
I agree with Adam, the drum programming is great but the sounds could be better. You did a magnificent job of several very complicated Queen-covers, and they deserve the best possible sound.
I'm very impressed with this.
The guitar on "Father to Son" is spot on, and your backing vocals really sound that Roger is in it. I don't usually listen to this kind of stuff, but you did a great job with it. I think you have a very good ear for music, and there's definitely musical talent in you.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. If there's any drummers out there who wish to work on some collaborations, please let me know (contact me through my website): link
How did you recreated the "keyboard intro" from Father to Son? It sounds AMAZING!!! Parts of it sounds just like the original intro!
I have been trying to find out what did Queen used in Queen II for the Father to Son intro but havent been able to find it out.

The intro for Father To Son was piano, live it was also Freddie on the piano
I must conclude that the intro is piano with a tape running at a different speed... I believed it could be piano but the sound (specially in the first 2 or 3 seconds) sounds so out of this world that I couldnt imagine it was a piano!
Thanks for the answers !

I used electric guitar, acoustic guitar and piano all playing the same notes simultaneously. I suspect Queen did something similar...
Well, then it means you are very, very good, I tried everything and even asked a few people for help but never could deliver anything usable
You should do a tutorial! Hahahaha!
