There's an addendum to this. I'm referring to all times PRIOR to this upcoming 2014 tour.
I feel this will help the current discussions move towards critical rather than insulting.
I've been reviewing the videos from mostly Lambert fans...I can't see Roger resting his sticks as one poster commented.
I'll start off
AL' s top 3
1. WWTLF (easily his best song with the band)
2. Under Pressure (mainly with help from Roger)
3. Tie Your Mother Down. ... mainly as Brian had belted it out./ SSOR (wasn't bad)
Worst 3
1. AOBTD
2. STL
3. IWTBF/Dragon Attack
After watching the QAL gigs:
Top 3:
Who Wants To Live Forever
I Want It All (Surprisingly since I like him least on the rockers)
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Bottom 3:
Somebody To Love (I expected SO much more out of this one)
Keep Yourself Alive
We Are The Champions (WAAAY too many runs)
Top 3:
1. WWTLF
2. The Show Must Go On (EMA version - wish they did it again in full).
3. SSOR
Bottom 3:
1. STL
2. KYA
3. WATC (I agree with the too many runs criticism)
I love the stadium beat of Queen's big anthems. It allows the audience to become a part of the performance, stomping, clapping and singing along. The runs at the end cause an interruption in that sequence, and I think it's a bit frustrating - like foreplay with no climax. I don't at all want Adam to copy Freddie, but there are certain elements that make Queen Queen, and the crucial ones should be sustained, imo.
