Rolling Stone said, “Lambert astounded the audience on songs like ‘We Will Rock You’ and the closing ‘We Are The Champions’ and ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. It was the most anticipated act of the night.” Billboard claimed, “…Queen effectively stole the show, with timeless songs that music fans of all genres can sing along to” and the Hollywood Reporter exclaimed, “Adam Lambert, Queen bring down the iHeart house. With the perfect mix of rock attitude mixed with style, theatricality, sex appeal and impressive vocal gymnastics, [Lambert] took the band’s music to new heights.” The threesome first shared the stage during American Idol in May 2009 for a performance of “We Are The Champions”. They teamed up again in 2011 at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland for an electrifying eight-minute finale of “The Show Must Go On”, “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions” and in the summer of 2012, Lambert performed a series of shows with Queen across Europe as well as dates in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. They also performed three sold-out gigs at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. "Let's ROCK those beautiful arenas JUST ONE MORE TIME!” said Brian May. “I'm completely in awe of the Queen phenomenon,” added Lambert. “The thought of sharing the stage for a full set in North America is so beautifully surreal. I'm honored to be able to pay my respects to Freddie's memory; he's a personal hero of mine, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to sing such powerful music for fans of this legendary band. I know this tour will be a huge milestone for me, and with the support of Brian, Roger and the rest of the band, I feel like magic will be on display.” In a career spanning over 40 years Queen has amassed a staggering list of sales, awards, and hall of fame inductions that is second to none. Record sales in the hundreds of millions of units, including an unprecedented string of number one albums and top-charting singles that continue to put Queen in the top ten of all-time iTunes sales, seven Ivor Novello Awards, an MTV Global Icon Award, two songs enshrined in the Grammy Hall of Fame - “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions” – which also remain the most played songs at sports events and arenas around the world, and, as if to qualify all of hyperbole, just last month Queen received the accolade of becoming the first artist ever to sell over six million copies of an album in the UK - beating out even the Beatles' Sgt Pepper by close to a million copies - with their Greatest Hits album, which also achieved the record of over 1,422 weeks on the British album chart. The statistics show a staggering one in three British households now own a copy of the iconic act’s original Greatest Hits collection. Even with the tragic loss of their uniquely talented singer Freddie Mercury, Queen remain one of the most revered bands in rock and pop history, able to claim one of the most enduring song catalogues of all time. Just think: “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Another One Bites the Dust”, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “Killer Queen”, “Fat Bottomed Girls”, “Bicycle Race”, songs that form the backdrop to the lives of generations of fans across all ages. With their sterling song craft, virtuoso musicality, and colossal spectacle of their live performances, Queen – Brian May, Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and John Deacon - captured hearts and conquered charts like no other band in history, a legacy that continues to live through the ongoing work and concert performances by May and Taylor. Their musical We Will Rock You, co-created with writer Ben Elton, is approaching its 12th year on stage in London’s West End and is currently touring North America. Adam Lambert’s stunning performances on the eighth season of American Idol are still widely regarded as some of the most riveting moments in the show’s history. His debut album For Your Entertainment earned him a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. His second album, Trespassing, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The subsequent tour took Lambert from Australia to South Africa, throughout Asia and Eastern Europe and culminated in a sold-out arena show in Helsinki, Finland. In 2013, Lambert appeared as a guest star on the hit TV series, GLEE. He is currently writing and recording for his third album, which will be released this year. This now puts the tour equally on par with the 2006 Q+PR US/Canada tour in terms of the number of scheduled shows. |

Nice. Wouldn't have bought for Montreal had I had the Jersey shows available. I will see if I can get for either one of those two. Can anybody tell me anything about the venues? Are they any good? |

An awful lot of Lambert. My heart and my patience comes end. Brian frankly disingenuous when he says that "Freddie would have been proud of it." Or rather he wants to justify himself before the fans. |

Schizophrenic about this 1) Brian, don't overdo it!! Pay attention to your health! 2) Dammit! If you are adding shows, why not another in Calif or Nevada (Reno)? Since this is probably B+R's last tour, the shows will no doubt be really popular. I wish them oodles and gobs of success. They very well deserve it. They are the best! |

They are the best!I am so in agreement with item 1. Re item 2, Phoenix (Arizona) would be a good option. They get big shows and are only a 7-8 hour drive from LA. I used to live in Tucson, which is less than 1 hour north of the Mexican border, and 2 hours south of Phoenix, and we drove to Cali and Vegas a lot. Of course there is the high altitude pass to traverse, but trucks and buses do it every day with ease. |

Great news indeed. I'm really excited to the fact that around middle of July we're going to see Brian and Roger on the top of their games again. A tour will be very good for them. |

I think this is a situation where there's something for everyone. Younger people who didn't get to experience the original 4 in their hey-day and fans of Adam get to experience this one-in-a-lifetime event. And despite the hyperbole on both sides, I'm positive that Queen's legacy will remain intact. 40+ million in album sales is a pretty big marker. Anyway, certainly tastes differ, so I get that it's not for you. |

IMO It's completely acceptable that some don't like him or his voice, and never will. Who cares about who doesn't like him? It's the ones that do, or who will buy tickets despite their misgivings that matter. The rest aren't in the revenue stream and are irrelevant. Focus on the steak and not the peas, Caroline ;> |

inu-liger wrote: Have fun dealing with that troll's homophobia too.Exactly. Dealing with trolls in a serious way is a big mistake - it plays right into their hands. Either ignore them or insult them, but anything else is just foolish, because trolls don't care about the topic at hand, they care about winding up people on the internet. The good trolls I ignore, the bad trolls I insult. Come on trolls, have some professional pride in your work! P.S. I might start answering trolls in Haiku. That should drive them crazy because either they won't know what a Haiku is, or they'll be incensed because their super-important troll business is being derailed. Either one works for me. |

This site has no moderation, and if on another thread i said how great it was that Adam fans support him and Queen, this site is the complete opposite. After some time, it can become toxic for you to be here replying to trolls and people whose sole purpose is to make others feel bad, and to start useless discussions by choosing to be against whatever it is that is being discussed. Don't reply to trolls and offensive posts/posters. Just ignore them. If you want to discuss this tour with like minded people without being harassed, just go to the Adam Lambert official site/forum and have fun. If not, just stick around here:-) Cheers |

Does it count as trolling if it's complete hyperbole and fan worship? .... I mean since he IS touring with them now. Should a new forum be created to divert all this trash posting of Lambert fandom? Isn't it about time? I'm for everyone having their opinion. I've stated mine. But the topic is about the added dates.... Not about how much someone thinks of Adam Lambert visually, nor is it to try to harangue people. A new forum OUGHT to be created so I don't have to keep seeing videos bored into the text here. |
