I've been asked to share this one by several people, so here you are. This is my 2011(?) re-creation of the song Ogre Battle from the 3rd BBC session.
All official releases are cut, the official story is that Queen's master is damaged. Fortunately enough a few people taped the song from radio when it was broadcast.
Several different recordings (each in a different quality) appeared over the years on several bootlegs. The best quality I found was on the bootleg "Queen will be crowned", but still the quality sucks.
I have corrected the speed of the track and raised the volume to match the official release. So the guitar intro (in really crappy quality) comes from the bootleg, and around 1:25 it crossfades to the official version. link
Enjoy.
Every time you convert this to mp3 or sell a copy, God kills a kitten !
I have this from your previous share and I love it. That wailing feedback guitar intro is awesome, such a shame it has to be resurrected from a poor quality recording. Nice job you did on the restoration Pittrek. Thanks!
Here's my merge version of this track made in 2013: link
The same source was used for guitar intro. I used only second 'clean' take of the intro so the whole track length is shorter.
It's interesting that guitar intro with hi-hat count-in was recorded separetely. Why not to play proper complete live version in the studio? Count-in speed in guitar intro doesn't match the speed of Ogre Battle track itself so I changed the speed of guitar track with count-in for merging.
We don't know for sure if guitar intro indeed was recorded for BBC broadcast but then abandoned as it's not really logical to record long noise intro for broadcasting.
Listen to result.
Any thoughts?

It seemed like the band was out of sync, as Brian starts the riff, but Roger doesn't start the counting in. Then you have the counting, but it doesn't lead right into the song. (Was is supposed to?) Haven't checked out your version yet, but thanks for this too. None of my old boots, even the lousy quality ones, ever had this intro, so it is the first time I am hearing it.

Interesting edit, but definitely a remix or an edit, not a full re-creation. But I like the idea of combining the guitar and the drums
Took me ages to work out that the feedback version on Golden Masters was the BBC intro and have been wanting to do a merge for ages. Tried a few times but am not very good at things like that.
