Wondering when he actually started providing management services to Queen. 1977 (one of his claims) I can believe but 1975 (also alluded to) was surely John Reid's debut.

I knew he had a lawyer's training. Sounds like he gradually took on more responsibilities from the 1975 "now get out of that" :-) onwards.

It actually says "management by Queen," and then on the next line, "with thanks to" it says Jim Beach and various others.
There's a 1979 TV interview spot where Freddie says they manage themselves.
So methinks that sums it up.
"As a lawyer, he should perhaps be more discrete."
Whether discreet or not, the statute of limitations in many jurisdictions and the lack of clarity as to who was responsible makes the "dwarf coke" revelation (unsurprising as it is) legally harmless.
Reputationally, it's not particularly harmful either.
