The Random Thread is pretty pleasant and cheerful.
There's also the somewhat legendary one where people were photoshopping Freddie's supposed son: link
The gigantic Queen Extravaganza thread wasn't completely positive, but people managed to stay quite civil and have a good conversation about QE: link Also, the Atheism thread still hasn't quite beaten it in length, though it's close.
This place was a bounty of excitement in 2005 during the first Q+PR tour.
And in June 2009 when three phenomenal uncirculated concert recordings leaked within a span of ten days - Boston 76, Seattle 77 pre-LP and Sun City 84. Probably the best month for Queen collecting I can remember in well over a decade here.
And there was once a thread started called "I will be positive about anything."
...however, it was accompanied by a thread called "I will be negative about anything."
Good times.

Lmao.
I didn't realize it said LEAST. ....
One time I discussed how well endowed a fellow (not a FELLOW fellow) qz'er was.
That was purely well meant and received.
Unfortunately the only OTHER extremely positive topic that I know of was started by some idiotic goober twit who wholeheartedly WORSHIPPED adam Lambert and cried from the heavens about his alleged greatness and dare I say SUPERIORITY over Freddie mercury because he sang (in key) some songs that FREDDIE WROTE (!) and had shied away from performing to his fullest extent live (*BECAUSE HE WAS A GODDAMNED FULL ON ROCK! MUSICIAN)
Needless to say. The twit was institutionalized until it was discovered he was genuinely chromosomally RETARDED.
there was just no other explanation
Of course, the goon
