Hmmm. Interesting concept. A collection of riffs designed to inspire others to make music around Iommi's guitar playing. No timeline though, and not clear if there would be any Brian at all. Kind of a continuation of his move towards visioning for other people.
I just wish he'd put out a compilation of stuff he has recorded since Another World, if he doesn't want to make a new album. I'm sure there must be 10-15 songs which he's recorded since the late nineties. Just ideas, demo's, snippets.

HOLY SH%&!!!! There's going to be a new solo studio l.p. by Brian May and it is with Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath!!!!!!!!!! link
Well careful about that! Could be the media up to its usual nasty hype machine tricks again, much like what happened a year or two ago when they blew a "new Queen with Freddie album" rumour out of proportion.
Although I'm sure they probably want to put out the album, it might not be anytime soon to be realistic.
With Brian involved in so many non-musical things these days, I'm happy to hear he's creating anything at all.
And with Tony Iommi no less ! This should be very interesting.

Is "Tommy" how they spell and say "Tony" in Australian? Just kidding with ya.
Whoops!....lol. Not sure where that came from. I'm not a super Sabbath fan but I have a few of their albums and I was just reading all this stuff on "Tony" just before that too!
This could be the best solo project to come out of a member of the band - might even trump 'Barcelona' in my book.
Let's see what comes of it.
Hope it's not a guitar tutorial on-line download thing and is a TRUE album of rock tracks.
thank god some heavy stuff at last. what a shame there is no freddie to warble over the top. hopefully there will be guest vocalists like tony had on his previous solo album iommi.
is great news! this is something highly anticipated by me! and I get very many expectations! much more than that pathetic semi meeting with Adam Lambert! I hope this album comes out soon!
I'm starting to think I got WAAAAY too excited about this project not realising what it really might be...or that it will probably be a year or two before it is even started. My mistake. I thought one of my favorite recording artists might do something. I misjudged what was said and what reality was.
Fair enough BH...lol. But that one exists, and time is of the essence, if you ask me. Maybe it didn't come up the way they would have wanted it or something.
The last two collaborations with Iommi ("Goodbye Lament" and "Flame On" from Iommi's first solo-album) had some great riffs. So let's hope this will finally see Brian making some heavy music again.
