What does Brian sing in "Flash's Theme" that would be considered lead vocals? If anything for the single version of "Flash" I thought maybe Roger was singing the high pitch part in the middle. I'm confused. This is because I read something from the wonderful world of Wikipedia.
The high part in the middle is sung by Freddie. Freddie could also sing high notes.
Brian sang the one line near the end, but it was lead vocals as he's singing the melody and, during those few seconds, no-one else is singing, only him (double-tracked).
Holy shit! I hear it now! Thank you so much! Fred does so much with his voice as well as Brian and Roger...I just...after all of these years...did not ever figure this out...but I can TOTALLY hear it now! Oh myfg! I LOVE IT! Thank you!
Freddie -
'he's just a man, with a man's courage
you know he's nothing but a man, but he can never fail'
and then Brian -
'no-one but the pure at heart may find the golden grail, o-ohhh, o-ohh'
I didn't notice that either until I read that Brian sang that part. Which is odd because I figured out it was Brian throughout Who Wants to Live Forever, even though I didn't really know his voice at that point.
Seeing Brian sing the 'Oooh Ohoow' bit in the music video also is quite revealing.
Strange that you didn't notice..
PS: Brian sings some lines in Sheer Heart Attack as well

I'm almost 100% sure you're thinking of Roger who sings lines in Sheer Heart Attack, not Brian.
Brian sings the (rewritten) refrain
"no one but the pure in heart, can write a queen musical"
dut-dut-dut-dut-dut-dut-dut-dut
"Brian, Brian i love you...but we only have fourteen hours to record the Cosmos Rocks"

You're right.. It is Roger..overdubbed with Freddie.. Not used to him singing such low end vocals i guess :p
Roger sings loads of low vocals (e.g. the low octave on Action This Day, and a lot of things on his solo efforts). In fact the Smile song Earth has Brian doing the falsetto bits and Roger singing the low part.
In the vast majority of cases, Roger would sing the top line (sometimes together with Freddie), but there were also occasions (maybe around 15% of songs, which is still a lot) where he also sang quite low.
