"We travelled together a bit, too, or sought each other out when we were abroad. The band Queen rented a house in Bel Air, Los Angeles, for a while, and Elton and I spent a long evening there with Freddie Mercury, a sweet and funny man whom I really adored, discussing the possibility of the three of us forming a supergroup.
The name we had in mind was Nose, Teeth & Hair, a tribute to each of our most remarked-upon physical attributes. The general idea was that we could appear dressed like the Beverley Sisters. Somehow this project never came to anything, which is contemporary music’s deep and abiding loss."
About "‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?"
"Just to complicate matters, the Brazilian musician Jorge Ben Jor eventually pointed out the similarity of the melody in the chorus to a song of his from 1972 called ‘Taj Mahal’. Bang to rights, too. I held my hand up straight away. Not that I had stood in the studio and said, ‘Here, I know, we’ll use that tune from “Taj Mahal” as the chorus and be done with it. The writer lives in Brazil, so he’ll never find out.’ But I had been to the Carnival in Rio earlier in 1978, with Elton and Freddie Mercury, where two significant things had happened: firstly, I had developed a brief and hopeless crush on a lesbian Brazilian film star who wouldn’t let me anywhere near her; and secondly I had heard Jorge Ben Jor’s ‘Taj Mahal’ being given heavy rotation all over the place"
Freddie, Elton and Rod as the Beverley Sisters!!! That would have been amazing. Real charisma combined with camp houmor at its greatest. Really sad it never came into fruition :-(
...come to think of it, the drag chorus girls in the Great Pretender video was surelly what Freddie thought as a close alternative. With Roger in the place of Rod Stewart of course. link
Thanks for the post: is this from his new book?
Either way, the first story is a well known quote from the two...
But my problem is... Fred's obviously teeth....
Rod's gotta be Hair...
But since when is Elton a nose? (Or is it the other way around?)
I DO know they all did plenty of coke... So... Who's nose?
'Scuse my naiveté

I have seen that interview. Think it was with Molly Meldrum from the Australian show Countdown. The thing is, from what I recall, it really was just a joke between the three of them. And I mean I've heard that Freddie was sensitive enough about his teeth anyway. Likewise Elton must have been sensitive about his hairloss given that he went and had a transplant. So I doubt those two would have really wanted to have drawn attention to their perceived deficiencies. ...lol.
So I think Rod had the most to gain out of that joke. Which is presumably why he was the one telling it.

Rod had a big nose? Its not even that obvious i think as i look at some of his pics.
Lol. I always thought he looked like that hideous puppet on Mr Rogers' Neighborhood.
I assumed it COULDN'T be his nose... Since he has memorable hair. Thank you for clearing that up

Freddie talked about it once, too.
According to this site - link - they couldn't decide on what order to put the words in!
Well, i prefer to believe Rod in this one because the story it's closely related to his biggest hit back then so it gives very little space to confusion. And he was freddie's friend while non of us were
.
I know the other story is well known, but i wanted to share the complete paragraph mentioning Freddie
