It took a while to get this ready for release. Like the previous night, I had two recorders lined up for recording the show. But both recordings turned out to have their own issues. One recording is mostly distorted, the other one sounds mostly great, but has some drop outs.
I tried to fix the drop outs with the good bits of my distorted recording. And some parts turned out remarkably well. Only it did not work for the complete recording. So I had to look for another source to fix the last remaining parts. And reluctantly I mixed in Batman04s lossy source for the last remaining dropouts.
So what do we have:
Church-Audio CA-11 --> MM-CBM-1 --> Edirol R-09HR (about 95% of the recording)
SP-CMC-2 --> Edirol R-09 (about 3.5 %)
?? --> Youtube --> mp3 (about 1.5 %)
Al put together with Adobe Audition, followed by a little bit of dynamic range compression and the mastering plugin.
Awesome.
Big thanks for this one. To bad you had to use a lossy source to make the best it could be. Hopefuly an alternate source will emerge and you can properly re-do this.

Excellent thanks! Withoutt listening, can you identify which tracks had the lossy inserts?
I'm doing this from memory. So I might miss something. The biggest Lossy inserts are definitly in Dragon Attack and the Drum Battle (to me this part sticks out most). For the rest they are very shot bits. You can most easily identify them by listening to echo on the voices. There's more then in my recording.
There are lossy inserts in:
I Want it All, 39, Another One Bites the Dust, Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions and God Save the Queen.
Before I Want it All, there are no lossy inserts. Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Show Must Go On are completely insert free.
Thanks for sharing your nice recordings to complete the lossless tour collection. But tbh without spectral analysis most of us won't hear the lossy fragments!
I actually have a lossless source for night 2 (recorded with a Sony PCM-M10) but it's slightly muddy. It is complete though. If i send you the links for it would you want to use it to improve the audio? It's in 24 bit/96kHz audio and I have the links in mediafire already.
Even if you wanted to use the audio from the YouTubes there's a much better way of getting the audio than using Batman's mp3s. You can see my playlist for the night here link
If those videos are in HD, what you should really do is to extract the WebM video of the HD files (Use the Complete Youtube Saver plugin for Firefox). The audio in WebM is in 192kbps OGG audio - much better than the 154kbps AAC in the HD mp4 Youtube files. Then use the OGG audio to merge in into the audio.
Do let me know if you'd like those lossless files. Thanks so much for sharing btw!

Any chance you could post your files here? They could still be used in a compilation.

tarraj, you are a hero.
I would realy like to use those lossless files so I can start from scratch to make a proper lossless version.
