Hi folks, Just a little question. Does anyone know when Knebworth 1986 should be released on Dvd/bluray? I heard that this was Queen's last show ever recorded. |
pittrek 09.05.2012 11:08 |
Never. It wasn't filmed |
Hugowan 09.05.2012 11:08 |
Christ! Be prepared to recieve some heavy bashing from a couple members that will troll you in a minute for asking this even if you're actually jocking :) By the way, no plans on Kebworth video releases for a number of reasons. |
Gregoryvincke 09.05.2012 11:26 |
I don't believe that. I saw snippets of the footage in the recent 'days of our lives' documentary! |

Gregoryvincke wrote: I don't believe that. pittrek 09.05.2012 11:48 |
I know I will write it for the 100th time, but : - there were 2 camera crews, one working for DoRo and shooting various parts of the concert for a documentary, one "broadcasting" what appeared on stage on the huge Starvision screen - only the DoRo footage exists, and it doesn't cover the whole concert - they were shooting a DOCUMENTARY about the tour |

someone who has some free time should write a faq with all these questions which were answered here at this board many, many times. and moderators (if there any...) should make it sticky |

kthrss5 wrote: someone who has some free time should write a faq with all these questions which were answered here at this board many, many times. and moderators (if there any...) should make it stickyIt's a fair request, but I'm actually against the idea personally. If questions have to be asked a hundred times, then there's a hundred chances that an interesting discussion may arise. 99 less than if there is an FAQ section. |

As I alluded to in another thread. There should be a dedicated 'Live' section of the board. |
fr1986 09.05.2012 20:54 |
i still think that the last half of the show was recorded. SO that footage exists. i would be happy with a cd release of the full concert at least. |
workstour 10.05.2012 00:13 |
Hm, i know only audience filming, too. But we all can not be sure. Or known somebody about a complete filming from 1st Wembley night ? :-) Yes, there are some snippes on "Rare live" Video but never saw a complete professionel recording. But i think a complete professionel audio recording "sleeping" in archiv (but i dont really know). Some Songs are on "Live Magic" Album. |
rhapsody8 10.05.2012 00:34 |
From Queenlive.ca: However, a year later, Queen archivist Greg Brooks said: "Only footage of the big screens exists which is utterly boring, and some shots of the audience as I recall." Isn't that mean, there is another full video source exist except for the audience video? |

Isn't that mean, there is another full video source exist except for the audience video? ============================================== It's the footage of the big screen. Not the feed from the big screen, or the footage on the big screen, but the footage OF the screen itself. The footage we have all seen. |
pittrek 10.05.2012 00:52 |
fr1986 wrote: i still think that the last half of the show was recorded. SO that footage exists. i would be happy with a cd release of the full concert at least. It's nice that you "think" it. Yes, the DoRo documentary footage still exists of course, but do you really think that it can be used for something else than a documentary ? Especially since almost all of it are shots of the audience, or shots of the band from the distance |

workstour wrote: But i think a complete professionel audio recording "sleeping" in archiv (but i dont really know). Some Songs are on "Live Magic" Album. You think correctly. It has been confirmed numerous times by either Greg or Gary, that they have the complete AUDIO recording |

If you wanted to write "doesn't it mean" then no, it doesn't have to mean this. Greg could mean the audience video + the DoRo footage |

Knebworth: -Complete audio recording (Multitracks to be precise) -"Screen" Bootleg (recorded from AUDIENCE with a home -vhs- camera) -Doro footage (Some audience/band angles and at least one song -is this the world we created?- complete, maybe there's some unseen angles but i think nothing too much important) ** They said MANY times there isn't any copy from the ("pro-shot") Screen feed cause they didn't record it (remember they already had two night on wembley and budapest on film)** |
Doga 10.05.2012 21:28 |
So, they can't release a DVD of Knebworth because they didn't have enough video sources, if QP will release a live box set i will be happy to get a copy of the live audio of Knebworth and a BluRay of Budapest. Along with some 70's gigs of course ;) Having two Wembleys and one Budapest (in 35mm, no less), i prefer the release of Budokan 75, Earl's Court or Hammersmith 79, you know, those incredible gigs. |

Gaabiizz wrote:No, no, no. That's not an answer.pittrek wrote:Are many proofs ;Gaabiizz wrote:Knebworth complete video , exist ;No ? Proofs ? You wrote "Knebworth complete video exists". You have the right to claim something like this if : 1) you have the complete video 2) you have seen the complete video 3) somebody with access to either the official Queen archives or something similar claims that the complete video exists Otherwise it's only your assumption, that the video exists. |
pittrek 11.05.2012 04:56 |
The best thing we could get according to all official information would be a CD release of the complete AUDIO of the concert together with a DVD DOCUMENTARY about the concert |
Gregoryvincke 11.05.2012 06:27 |
Cause it's Knebworth Tapping on the toe with a cam source Ooh just filming Driving along like the swing king Feeling the beat of my heart huh! Feeling the beat of my heart... |

just remember this, when they released wembley dvd in 2003 they even said "some" of the previous night was recorded. Big lie!!! 2011. Full 1st wembley night concert was released Check it here link the director is the one who acknowledges it. "some" haha! That does not mean that knebworth will be ever release though. Only time will tell |

But Another One Bites The Dust is not the "Complete concert". That's what I'm trying to explain you, that logically you can't assume that if a video recording of part of a concert exists that it means that the COMPLETE recording exists |

They could search the queen archives themselves and then accuse queen of hiding it when they don’t find it. |
