Im a huge Queen and KISS fan.
But Queen is doing a KISS thing in my eyes.
Going on tour again (witch is great) but like KISS leaning on old stuff.
Why dont they write some new stuff before they go on tour.
Is easy money made this way.
Or does anybody here think im wrong???
I don't know, how many members of Kiss are dead? I only know of Eric Carr (who also died November 24, 1991). Or has Gene Simmons stated that Paul Rodgers was Eric Carr's favorite singer?
Actually KISS released album in 2009 (Sonic Boom), moreover, they're releasing new album this year in june or july, called Monster, so I don't see your point. On the controrary to Queen they're working on new material :)
KISS' voices and main men were always paul and gene, kind of like Status Quo's rick and francis. Freddie was so much the vocal and visual point of queen. There lies the difference. Brian and roger should either re unite with pr for another album or tour or do an album with guest vocalists like jeff scott soto, matt bellamy, dave grohl, joe elliot, justin hawkins, robert plant.
Oh it's all good! This what I think that they should do before they record new music and release a new studio l.p.! Hopefully later in the year perhaps if they decide to work with Adam Lambert and or whoever else!!! Rock on!!!
Oh and Viewtiful_Lui how do you know that they are working on new songs? I do think that they should tour a bit first. Hmmm...by the way you have an awesome name!
AlexRocks - the power of the internet, just google it :)
The tour comes right after new album, first summer tour with Motley Crue in the U.S., after that the rumour has it they're going to do european tour in 2013 (personally, I can't wait :) )
Most established bands play their back catalogues in concert. Its what the bulk of their concert goers seem to want. Its a pity for their biggest fans who want to hear some new or different stuff, but is usually the way it is unfortunately.

KISS released "Sonic Boom" in 2009 and will be releasing "Monster", their 20th studio cd, this year.
The "Monster" World Tour 2012/13 will start in June.

There should never be and i dont think there ever will be another Queen Studio Album. Freddie Mercury's voice was the voice of Queen a new Queen Studio Album without Freddies voice wouldnt be a Queen album.
Brain and Roger shouldnt go into a studio and make a new album under the band name Queen as it's not Queen and im sure they know that and that is the reason they haven't made a new studio Album since 1995
Reason Queen haven't made a new studio Album to tour with is becuse there singer/freind who provided amazing vocals on every Queen album is dead R.I.P Freddie!
