I am currently recording a song. I have one a drum track (done by the great Will Jones: link ), a piano track and some vocals to show how the song goes. If there is anyone that wants to help out with a guitartrack og a basstrack I would be very thankful. :) Demo of the song: link |

Cool song. I'd love to play on it, but for a fee. I have some great ideas for it. Feel free to get in touch. |

Of course, I'm a professional. Do you work for free? |
Do you work for free?
Most people have done and will do, working doesn't always mean a job. |

Depends how much you want for it though. I am sure we can agree on some sort of payment. Thanks for replying :) |

Yeah, it's interesting to me that I'm more likely to get money if I do sound tech-ing for someone. For some reason playing guitar is just one of those things you're expected to do for free. Having said that, a request like this one is probably one that I'd do for free. Bearing in mind that it's always on a 'if you get money for it, then so do I' basis. You don't want to do something like this out of charity and then wake up one morning and see it on Oprah or something, netting the guy a huge bundle of cash. Cool song, anyway. Let us know if you finish it up! |

Sounds fine how it is buddy. |

Surely beats the hell out of Treasure Moment and Tranqvilla. That's a compliment, since they're the new Queen and all. :) On a serious note, it sounds pretty cool. Keep up the good work! |
Dane 18.04.2012 09:14 |
I'll have a go at it.... for free... ...and yes, I do know how to play guitar :) I can also provide some backing vocals if needed! |

The Real Wizard wrote: Of course, I'm a professional. Do you work for free? This wasn't exactly a job offer. I do several shows a year for free... mostly charity stuff. I'd probablysay 90% of my gigs are paid gigs. But if someone uploads a song and is wanting some ideas/help that would require very little effort on my part (just playing and emailing), I would think I would come off as quite pretentious if the first thing I brought up was money. I guess that shows what kind of professional YOU are as opposed to what I am. I guess that also shows why I work a lot more than you do. 3 shows this weekend plus a 5 hour block of session work. Way to go, Dane. Showing the true spirit of Queenzone. |

Was there ever a time when you weren't so bitterly arrogant? I won't spend 20 minutes half-assing something. I happen to see a solid afternoon of dedication to a song as work, because this is what I do for a living. If you don't agree, I respect that. No need to attack others and embellish details about their lives because they feel differently than you. But this kind of thought is clearly beyond your grasp.. Cheerfully awaiting your charming review of the song. To the topic starter - thanks for getting in touch. Looking forward to working with you ! |

I just spent a couple of hours playing with the song and I must say it really doesn't need all that much guitar! Sounds pretty cool as it is! It does lack some bass... |
emrabt 19.04.2012 09:41 |
I've always been curious as to exactly what that is... ================ John Deacons ghost, once every few years he appears and spreads good deeds to the posters of Queenzone. So whenever anyone does something good we now say "That's the true queenzone spirit". |
Micrówave 19.04.2012 09:56 |
I must say it really doesn't need all that much guitar!Uh-oh. Someone's not going to be able to put food on the table now. |
The Real Wizard 19.04.2012 12:52 |
Yup, project aborted because someone expressed their opinion. Thanks for clearing that up. |
Micrówave 19.04.2012 16:23 |
Next time you should get a "deposit"....
But then, since you're a professional, you've already deposited the check.
To the topic starter - thanks for getting in touch. Looking forward to working with you !Yeah. Ok. |

I heard nothing more from The Real Wizard so I needed to look for other options. Version here though with guitar, drums, bass and vocals: link |

Shit talking, aggression and typical Qz discontent aside; I'm really surprised that no one took the time out to sarcastically chime in: DAMN RIGHT! MERCURY STILL REVOLVES!...FRED'S STILL SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE. Two tours with a different singer, no 1970's releases to enforce what a great and unusual talent Q were QP+R setlists primarily culled from the publishing catalogue of anyone but FM And lastly this ungodly notion of having a talent contest singer helming the band.. ...I'm just surprised no one suggested that whole spinning in the grave bit As for the track, I have an old phone, would love to hear it soon The mention that its better than Treasure Trollment makes me hopeful (I'm aware he was cremated; but this hypothetical poster wouldn't know and would merely be concerned with expressing anger) |
matt z 25.04.2012 08:35 |
Ah, listened to it. Def see the McCartney comparisons + the vocal "harmonies" bg sound Mercury "solo-ish" as well. Pretty structured and not disgracefully amateur.(I promise I won't mention that horrible site troll Treasure Mo....mot?...Treasure Motors? Ah who gives a fuck) Good for u dude. |
Holly2003 25.04.2012 09:00 |
I was thinking more Bonzo Dog Band than McCartney. Not bad. |

I could hear the solo to Freddie's Man Made Paradise fit in perfectly.. :) |
