Question about the chords to the first line of the chorus,
''its in the lap of the gods..''
I've always played: D-D7/C-D-B. but I've seen a few different midi files suggesting its D-C-D-B.
what does everyone else play??

This is pretty much how i play it, sliding between notes where suitable. Sorry the notes are all so condensed :P
I would suggest using midi files as a good reference. Invariably they are littered with errors and these then filter down to TAB errors as people often use the midi file to open in something like GuitarPro etc and save the guitar tab as their own work.....which keeps the same mistakes etc.
I would stick with what you were playing (as mentioned)
Wish Queen productions would release a 'complete chords' book , like the Beatles one and Brian can over see it. They've released the complete lyrics so maybe!?.
It exists, and it's actually called "Complete Works". Quite a few typo's in there, but if you have a good ear you should be able to filter them out and correct them.
Lap Of The Gods Revisited is tricky to find anything of on the internet. It's surprising really, because one can find pretty accurate Guitar Pro tabs of obscure things like Modern Times Rock And Roll & Staying Power, but not one of their somewhat well known early songs...
The 'pretty accurate GPro' is just the type of thing that I meant. Pretty accurate is ok but generally wrong could be another phrase BUT, like I said, a good basis for someone wanting to get a close-ish repro of them
