Roger Taylor has suggested that Queen might perform at next year's Olympics in London.
The band, who have yet to be linked to the 2012 sporting extravoganaza, last toured with Paul Rodgers replacing the late Freddie Mercury.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Taylor played down the chances of Queen performing a world tour again, but said they might play “special” gigs.
“I wouldn't rule it out. In fact I read the other day Paul said he wouldn't mind doing something,” he said.
“If something came up as special, we could maybe do that, maybe the Olympics or something. But I certainly wouldn't rule it out and he is a wonderful singer, there's no doubt about that.”
There has been huge speculation over which acts will perform at the Opening and Closing ceremonies at next year's Olympics, with the likes of Paul McCartney and Rolling Stones both linked.
Meanwhile, Taylor has launched an American talent search that will offer vocalists and musicians the opportunity to star in the Queen Extravaganza, a live touring show paying tribute to the band.

i think "Queen" might manage a Gold medal or two...especially if they compete in the
10 pointless collaborations(coxless pairs)
and
16 yrs lack of any kind of musical insprational output (freestyle)

brENsKi - no, it's not a euphemism! Good grief... I meant Kerry is opening the 2012 cermony in London like Montserrat Caballe opened the 1992 cermony in Barcelona. Apparently Kerry is performing a few Anthems tracks there. I hope she'll give us a few snippets of rumoured tracks Brian producing for Kerry's 2nd album. Anyhow, it should give Miss Ellis loads of coverage and the recognition she deserves!
