Since this is the forum most people visit, I thought I'd post here. Spare a thought today for the 2,977 people who died both at Ground Zero, Shanksville and at The Pentagon (fuck the hijackers; they are where they belong), especially their families and all those brave men and women who are still haunted today by the terrible events, whether they be the injured who escaped or the emergency crews or passers by who put their own lives in danger by rushing to help those needed it. God bless them all. (There appears to be a conflict in figures on the internet, so forgive me if I'm wrong and there were more than 2,977.) |

Not only for the 2977 people of 9/11, but also let's remember all that innocent people killed in the OIL WARS, WEAPON-OF-MASS-DESTRUCTION-war, Desert-storm-war, and-you-name-it-war. How come nobody remembers them? My 2 cents :) |

I really agree with dunga! |

RIP to all those who lost their lives on the September 11th, 2001 attacks or in the war that followed. Hopefully now all of you are in a better place where there is no frivolous hatred. |

This is not the place where most people visit, that's the personal forum, where this EDIT shinola EDIT should be. |

My 2 cents :) ======================================================= Today (11th September, 2011) is about those who died ten years ago today in the Terrorist Attacks in the USA. It is NOT about anyone else! We have Something called "Remembrance Day" here in the UK EVERY year in November. That day is for the soldiers who died in wars since WWI. I would expect that other countries also have their own days for remebering their fallen soldiers. |

Regardless of where YOU think this topic should be, I hope you sicken everyone else here on QZ for your remark and not just me. Maybe your attitude to 9/11 will change one day as you mature and grow older and you realise just how horrific that day was. |

Brians wig, I'm happy that you have a Remembrance day in the U.K. I was talking about civilians killed because of US WARS. Of course here in the US we have the memorial day. I just think 9/11 brought sorrow to other innocent people. I'm sorry If I offended your favorite remembrance day from your favorite country. But I guess you're right, God bless them all. Whether they died on 9/11 or the horror after that (operation iraqi freedom, operation enduring freedom, Global war on terror, and all to come) |

In order for this to fit this section of the boards we could mention what Queen recordings are available that took place on September 11th during 73-86. |

Only one out of two 9/11 Queen gigs from the '73-'86 period has a recording so far: If we expand beyond those, here's another couple of Queen-related 9/11 spots, both which have recordings available: |

The Dortmund '84 gig very likely happened on the 10th, not the 11th. See my website for the explanation :-) |

My attitude to 9/11? It was a tragedy but I don't see you starting a topic for the 100,000+ innocent Iraqi civilians who have been killed since the USA invaded Iraq. Queen fans, if I have offended anyone by being irreverent then I'm sorry. I know that I'll be mature someday (at least that what my mother tells me when she tucks me in). I'm 38 by the way. Na Na Nanny Boo Boo. P.S. The use of quotation marks and majuscules is only for the petulant. |

WHAT DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH QUEEN???if this is the forum most people visit, why don't you tell us what you ate,if you go to the loo,so that ALL the world can know that too. I'm really really really FED UP about 9/11!!!documentaries and all that shit on TV EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!Bush knew about this attacks beforehand and DID nothing,so I'm really sick about Mr Bush and his former friend from Al Qaeda Mr Osama and all the conspiracies, why all the wars started by americans NEVER appeared on TV?perhaps we could have a documentary about the irak nuclear weapons,USA stealing irak oil,USA bombing schools and hospital and killing millions in Kuwait,Afganistan,Irak,Vietnam,Japan too. |

Agreed. 9/11 was naturally a horrible event for the all the innocent people affected, but there is a much bigger picture that needs to be discussed, ESPECIALLY around the 10th anniversary. It's no secret that Al-Qaeda began as a project funded by the Reagan administration. This was planned from day one. They needed another Pearl Harbour to justify the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Not to mention that Pearl Harbour was provoked as well. History fails to tell that the US pissed Japan off by sending weapons to China for the decade leading up to it. And doesn't it strike anyone as curious that bin Laden was "killed" 2.5 years into Obama's term, i.e. right about when re-election starts to cross the public's minds? Timing is everything in politics. And so is money. Both halves of the house and the senate are owned by the big businessmen - not just the republicans. It's all a show, folks. If it wasn't, then the US defaulting crisis would have been solved when the democrats controlled both the house and the senate two years ago. It would've been a shoe-in. But alas, that's not the way the system works. The rich need to be laughing all the way to the bank, not the lower or middle class. 9/11 will stay in the media for as long as the system stays afloat. The only way to keep Americans ignorant is to keep slamming them with ideas to insulate them from the rest of the world. And, more importantly, from how much they're getting screwed at home. |
