Flash?
Oh, absolutely YES!
Probably wouldn't have watched it as much, but I was 10 when that came out. Star Wars and Star Trek were king, and I loved sci fi.
Actually, I'm surprised the movie didn't fare better... that was the high point of cinematic Science Fiction.
Highlander - yes
Flash - dunno, I like it, but only knew of it because of the OST.
I was hoping that the question was going to be "Megan Fox....would you???" - and the answer would have been a resounding YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
I saw Highlander long before I was even aware that Queen had done music for it. I've never seen Flash Gordon, and I don't feel a burning desire to do so. I guess I'm not the world's biggest Queen fan then. :D As for Megan Fox, no, she doesn't really do it for me.
Highlander - yes
Flash Gordon - yes, I saw it before I was into Queen. And no, it did not exactly help to get me into Queen.
Megan Fox - no, I prefer girls with fewer plastic parts.
I saw both because of Queen, but loved Highlander, and watched it again several times for its own sake. And i did enjoy Flash, and i like old movies, so i might have seen it, but probably not...
highlander no (unless mom was watchin it and i was stuck in there cus me door locked itself again)
flash gordon, yes if it was about 3 years ago when i was obsessed with dr who and would watch anything sci-fi related

Nah, so long as she doesn't speak the language, there's no problem :P
Flash Gordon is a bit of a chore but after watching Highlander around 50+ times I can speak along with pretty much all of the dialogue (accents included) my favourite line is when Connor says "I'll bloody well walk out of here".
Flash Gordon was very, very silly, but it's hilarious because of it. Flash is a stalker, his girlfriend is a moron, and Timothy Dalton is just brilliant ("You lying bitch", he says at one bit). Ming and Klytus crack my shit up. With or without Queen, it'd be a funny movie - it's a bit like Barbarella in most respects.
Highlander, on the other hand, is a bad movie that could've been really, really good if someone had been paying attention during filming. Christopher Lambert is a bit of a joke these days, so it's easy to forget that he was a big name back then and that's probably why he got the job - but if they'd cast someone better, gotten rid of some of the bullshit (Sean Connery asking "what's haggis"? COME ON?) and filled in some very blatant (but easily fixable) plot holes, it would've been a great movie.

I don't agree. I love Highlander. Yes, it has plot holes (the Quickening is too vague), but Lambert was terrific. That he hasn't done anything good in years is neither here nor there. I think it was a really imaginative and entertaining film, and among the best of its kind.
I never said I didn't like it! But it is really a crap, ill-thought-out mess, and it could've been a lot better. I love Highlander, but I love it for all of the wrong reasons - it could've been a real masterpiece, and I'm not saying that with even a hint of irony.

It's difficult to respond as you aren't being specific. Nonetheless, I really don't agree. Yes, it has a Frenchman playing a Scotsman, and a Scotsman playing a Spaniard, and yes, some of the details (such as the Quickening) weren't fleshed out, however I don't think it's crap or an 'ill-thought-out mess' at all. I think it's a terrific film.

Oh, I know! :D I actually like the casting, it's just a bit funny thinking about it. What's also funny is that Sean Connery has played an Englishman, an Irishman, a Russian, a Spaniard etc.. all with the same accent. :D

It may be the cynic in me, but I'd half expect movie going audiences to boycott any film in which Sean Connery would play a Scotsman with the argument "look, he's a great actor, but Scottish? I mean, that he just couldn't pull off."
