This Saturday, I will be hosting the Works Tour Debate! If you guys want to join in, send me a message! If you guys have questions to ask, ask away! We will answer them!
The time will be 11:00pm (Eastern US time)!
I have one big question: what was happened to Freddie's voice during the tour (especially European part)? I mean all those rise and falls while the tour progressed.
What was the main cause of this? Especially I don't believe that this was caused only by smoking, age, etc.
Would be great to hear the answer from professional singers!
Thanks in advance, Greg.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Works tour was the first to have the "improvisation" segment. Maybe a discussion about how it evolved over the tour?
Also I remember reading in the Queen Works book that on the first night in NZ Fred and the guy from Spandau Ballet got really drunk and they screwed up the rock and roll medley by singing the wrong songs. I"d love to hear a clip of that if you have it in your archives.
Thanks!
Those are excellent questions! Your names will be credited during the debate and when it goes on Youtube, Queenzone (and the users), will get a shout out!
User "CosmosTales" should check his email! I just sent him a message!
Hmmm, his email's screwed up or something, but here's the message I sent!
"I just got the PM--sorry about that!
We will be doing the debate over Skype--as long as you have a working microphone
on your computer, you will be in good shape!
If you don't have Skype installed: link
It's free to download and to use!

Sure! Just download Skype, and we'll enter you into the debate (as a listener)!
Must be another theme for discussion: what songs worked best musically in this tour, and what songs simply don't so much. Also would be likely to hear thoughts about the songs from other tours that were dropped but must be kept in The Works Tour for a beauty show.
Thanks in advance.
I'm nearly done with the track splitting! It will be posted on Youtube/Queen within a day or so!
Here's a preview of the silliness (the segment about Tie Your Mother Down)!
The debate is up on Youtube! Here's the video concerning the questions/statements asked in this thread!
Also, I made a Question and answer video awhile back--and further clarified the questions (since I felt that some answers were a bit "rushed." link
I have it set to the part where I answer the Queenzone questions!
BTW, regarding my last question, I would like to mention that songs Get Down Make Love and Fat Bottomed Girls should had been kept from HS tour in the Works one, instead of freaky sounded Killer Queen and Staying Power.
any opinions?

I think Get Down Make Love would sound great (as long as Freddie's voice wasn't completely gone). I think during the improv section, Spike and Brian could do some unique parts (and maybe trade off)! Just imagine a keyboard/guitar duel in that section! For Fat Bottomed Girls, as long as Roger doesn't use those God-damn electronic drums on the song, I think it would sound good!
