How come the audio and video quality of Crazy Little Called Love from the Japanese broadcast looks so spectacular from this concert yet the quality of I'm In Love with my Car and Now I'm Here from QPL isn't as good? Does the Japanese TV station that broadcasted Crazy have a better quality version of the concert than QPL has? Just compare the quality of the Japanese TV broadcast to that of the stuff on Absolute Greatest and Sheer Heart Attack from the itunes LP. Because seriously, the quality is so amazing in that Japanese TV broadcast so does that channel have something QPL doesn't have?
Someone please fill me in (:

Good point Jamster! It made me wonder too. I believe EMI Japan has a excellent clone of the mastertape and do have the lost masters of the Seibu Lion concerts from 1982. Therefor QP used a laserdisc copy for the second disc of the Live at the Bowl DVD

Yes but regarding Hammersmith '79, so does QPL. They also apparently have the multitracks and mastertrack. How could EMI Japan have gotten it than?

There you have the answer. The QP archive was a mess for years and the tapes were not that well preserved
