What did he do to get banned this time?
It appears that his last alter-ego (Barber's Son) has disappeared, yet he actually seemed to be civilized this time.....so what's the deal? Did I miss something?
I'm assuming that SilverHangmanSalmon is him back again, but just wondered what he's done this time, compared to niphtee (Jake?) who is just back to post shit!

He hijacked a thread and made lots of gibberish posts about being drunk.
niphtee is keeping to the personal forum and to his own threads, he's easily avoidable.

£50 says two weeks
Numbers are funny. £50 translates to about 75 dollars Canadian or 80 dollars US. It would be odd to make a 75 or 80 dollar bet, or at least far less common than betting either $50 or $100. There's something humans like about the roundness of numbers, or intervals, or something, that seems unrelated to the actual value. It's kind of cool.

I really don't know, but I think the last time I saw Jake's name pop up, it was in one of those stupid threads!

reply:
the bet was probably done in £ sterling for it is still worth something unlike the Euro or the "soon to be useless" US$...

No, you didn't screw up any math. :) It just struck me that if $50 (or $100) is a common and casual but serious enough bet in North America, and £50 is a common and casual but serious enough bet in the UK, then it costs more (or less) for this common social act in one place than in the other. So the precise pain/gain is less of a factor than the neatness of the numbers. Or maybe it's driven by currency denominations. I just think it's kind of cool, but honestly you should probably pretty much ignore me on this. Getting fascinated by somewhat pointless observations is an issue of sorts with me. :P
