I know this post has probably been made many times before but can anyone provide me with a link to the download the best possible sounding audience recording of Hyde Park '76? Is there one without that annoying sound that the recording makes every time Freddie sings certain vowels?
I think the best one stems from a Japanese acetate (?), which hasn't seen the light of day yet, with the exception of Sweet Lady. I believe Bob once send me that version and it sounded great! I believe it's the same audience recording, but from a lower generation tape.

Cheers!
Ok i downloaded the files but i am unable to open them, even on my windows computer. I tried using 7-zip and it doesnt work. What's the need for these weird files? Can someone that already has the recording just upload them in flac or something like that?
Was there a reason Freddie sang so diffrently at this gig? Was it nerves in his voice, a cold or was that normal for that era? YTMBA, Prophet's Song, IITLOFTG... R, Bo Rap "rock part"... they all sound as if he was experimenting? No complaint though imo, i LOVE THESE VERSIONS

I'm glad someone else is thinking the same thing as me. I think he totally sang different at this gig. To me, the whole tone of his voice was much thinner and was very unstable at this gig. It was probably because of the fact that they were playing to 150,000 people for the first time so I dont blame him! Nonetheless, some songs did sound good but in a lot of them he sounded very off key.
Im gonna make a separate post for this...

Never mind, i got it! :)
But can we please not upload in .zo1 type formats anymore...they are too complicated.
There is nothing complicated about this format. The last file is a zip file. Just point the mouse to the zip file, right click the mouse, select the 3rd "extract to" option and you will get an unpacked file of the songs.

Wait, I don't get it. You write that you know how to use 7zip, so how can you have problems ? Simpy open the zip file in any unzipper (e.g. 7zip).
Or if you have a better idea how to put such big folders on some file-sharing web like rapidshare etc. without packing it and splitting to small parts, feel free to write it :-)
Please note that I'm NOT doing torrents, but I don't forbid anybody to do so.
Also uploading it track by track is not an option for me

Well isn't it THE SAME problem ? I think I would have to still split one archive into many parts, since most of the upload servers still don't support big files, or has the situation changed already ?
