Hello !
I've just wanted to ask one question. As we all know there were some problems with synchronising audio and video in the Flash / The Hero tracks. Do you think if they considered synching video not to the audio feed from the cameras but from the soundboard recording... their archive recording from that show ? I know that would be drop in the quality on those two tracks but I am not so sure, they could always re-mix the soundboard so that it would sound HD.
What are your thoughts ?
It would be tremendous if GT or GB could add their knowledge to this topic.
Greetings !
1) The songs were cut for the original release along with all the other off cuts and camera angles which weren't used, none of this was saved, so video doesn’t exist.
2)The cameras, being film cameras, wouldn't have recorded Audio.

Precisely. That's why they used that digital clock positioned to the right side of the stage (from the audience's view), so that the film reels would be synchronized to the timecode during the editing process.
Saul Swimmer didn't film those two tracks. Luckily, Mack did record the two tracks on multitrack tape machines.
Roger and Brian were pissed that the footage was lost but the audio, at least, was salvaged. On the commentary of QRM, Brian and Roger said "you'd have to buy the CD to hear those two tracks". Either that or TRIPLE VINYL!
I got bored with the original question halfway through. My answer is.. who cares... get a good nights sleep, dont let it keep you awake and contribute something to the world tomorrow.
Happy days :-)
