There is also going to be a single release of “Defying Gravity” (G-A-Y Mix).
This is a startling remix of the standout track on Kerry's album "Anthems", released on Decca Records 20 March.
Pim Derks wrote: Who wants to bet Brian will perform rarities such as Sail Away Sweet Sister, Save Me and Long Away during these concerts?
He will only perform queen rarities if no queen-fans turn up.
If queen-fans, dying for stuff like this , turn up he will play a TYMD, WWRY, WATC, RGaGa medley claiming that he hasn't played these songs for years.
Thanks, Gary. I regard these as wonderful news. Not that I am really a big fan of Kerry's (nor the contrary), but it is absolutely great to see Brian active in the music field. I deeply appreciate his musical outputs in virtually any form they take. But sometimes I fear that he might just loose interest and divert forever in the myriad of subjects that catch his attention. Rock on, Dr. Bri!!! BTW, how about a solo or a Queen tour? ;)
Cheers,

An accurate summation for what is wrong in the world can be drawn by people who find this excellent news and will part with £50 odd quid to see a fair to middling pub singer and a once upon a time rock star do glorified karaoke.
Just retire Brian please.
so I take it you see singers like Kerry down your local every week right eggy?
I think Kerry has an exceptional voice, but I wonder if the slightly pricey tickets are down to who Brian is
I'd gladly pay 60 pounds or whatever they're asking for these gigs if it was something like "An Evening with Brian May" with Brian telling stories about his songs and performing them. But for Brian acting as a back-up to a former musical-star.... If it was in the town where I live maybe, otherwise no thanks.
I saw a clip of them. Brian was playing some solo and she was clapping her hands pouting as if she was a full-on rocker rather than a musical theatre actress. It looked pretty lame. And she was dressed like a slapper. I don't really get it but I'm sure OAP Brian is grateful. It's been a while since his last "diversion".
Don't get me wrong, I like it when she dresses up like a whore. It's kind of hard to wax my carrot over her when the camera keeps shifting focus to Brian May though.

That is a big part of why this doesn't quite work for me. Brian somewhat disconcertingly conceives her as a "rock chick", and has referred to her as such. She's brilliant at what she does, more or less, but what she does is not rock. There is an edge and grittiness to successful and credible women in rock that she simply does have. Guitar tracks from Brian, even great ones, aren't going to be able to fix that.
"That's the best comment here in months."
I figured it was time for a bit of open and honest communicating!
"She's brilliant at what she does, more or less, but what she does is not rock"
Yeah, precisely. She does not belong in the idiom that Brian is trying to force her into. I've listened to a few of her performances with Brian, and it's a mismatch. She is not lacking in ability, but it's a waste trying to get her to sing some of this stuff.
Just watched the whole BBC Breakfast interview. After showing a clip from Proms in the Park even the presenters were sniggering about Kerry's dress. She had the good grace to laugh along but Brian was just sat there with a face like a slapped arse. He went on about her "once in a lifetime" voice. Piss off. in London theatre circles voices like hers are 10 a penny.
He just came over as a dirty old man trying to defend his "discovery". Can't see how it helped to shift units or put bums on seats.
