UPDATE:
I accidently transferred my original share in mono, while the source is stereo. I've made a new transfer... stereo this time! :-) Wonderful how stereo makes the sound way more rich and lively. So also if you already got the mono version, please download this stereo version as it is a step forward in soundquality.
Enjoy!

Hi,
as a follow up on my Düsseldorf share from The Cross (link, I also would like to share this gig with you. This was the other show that was released by the fanclub on cassette in the early 90's.
Gypsy Eye released a 2cd bootleg from this show in 2002, which is called "Half Queen Appearance". I've managed to obtain the original cassette fanclub release and made a new transfer.
Probably many of you know this show or have already heard it, hence I will not do a long review of this show ;-)
One question though... as I understood the audience already knew beforehand that it was 'extremely likely' that Brian May would appear (which he did). But were there also other rumours? Because before Lucille (closure of the show), the people were cheering "We Want Queen". Were there rumours that Freddie and/or John would possibly turn up? Anyway... the audience was closer to the truth then they realized when they sang "We want Queen" ;-)
I did some hiss reduction, but not too much to keep the musical content intact.
One last thing:
it's always mentioned that Brian May turns up as special guest, but let's not also forget that Mike Moran makes an appearance on the last three songs.
Ok, that's it for now, enjoy!
Cheers,
Tim

thank you Tim!
ZIP is complete but there are CRC probs (cannot extract) with 3 files:
09_-_Sister_Blue.flac
13_-_I'm_In_Love_With_My_Car.flac
14_-_Let_Me_Out.flac
Damn, how unfortunate! Then something must have gone wrong in the upload process. I have created a new zip with the three corrupted tracks only. link
Hope this solves the problem! :-)

hmmm... you're right. I thought I used a stereo cable, but it seems it was a mono cable after all...
Cheers,
Tim
Sir GH wrote: I have a stereo version in mp3 as well. Any chance you can do another transfer? The sound will no doubt be much richer if you do..
I will do another attempt (after getting the right cable). Just gimme some time ;-) (can be a week or 2, maybe 3 even).
The same holds for my Düsseldorf share then.
Cheers,
Tim
I was there and yes we did know that Brian was there as he had been involved in an auction with his daughter earlier on.
We met Roger outside earlier as he couldn't find the stage door so we showed him where it was (he signed my Shove It cd single)
we were chanting for Freddie although we knew it was extremely unlikely that he would appear (cant imagine how that would've happened) mainly, I think, as a show of support. John had appeared with BM & RT at a previous fan club Xmas party so there was some chance of that happening.
The concert was filmed on a single camera from the balcony by the fan club, has anyone ever seen that video?
I think maybe the recording didnt work in some way.
Earlier that day we had been played the first three Innuendo tracks so everyone was buzzing from hearing Innuendo, slightly mad and headlong!
Wasn't Mike M playing the whole gig as Spike was away with Boomtown Rats (doesn't Roger mention this during the gig)?
We partied with The Cross (including Roger but not Brian) until very late that night in the top bar at the Astoria
Guys, it says that the megaupload link is unavailable. I'd REALLY love this since my tape copy got chewed in pre-digitisation days....
Any chance it could be put back online...?
Thanks for sharing - this made my day.

Many thanks Tim, brilliant work !
I was at this gig, just above the balcony, dodgy chicken and chips handed out, and Mr May came past us on his way up to the bar at the back ! So we definitely knew he would be appearing.
Wish I'd taken a camera and pen and paper now.
Cheers.
