Today is, 31 years after the concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1979! Do you launched DVD someday?
So, today we met 31 years since that legendary concert tour of the crazy tour, and again displayed the messages from fans who clamor for a pronunciation of the band for this concert. link
If I'd born in 70s it'd be great because I'd go to this concert.
Unfortunately, I was born 17 years after this concert was.
Why nobody remembered that two days ago there were 35 years after Hammy 75?
Hammersmith 1979 is probably Queen's best concert, and especially Freddie's phenomenal
vocal performance. It even surpasses Newcastle 1979. Freddie is very consistent
throughout the entire concert at Hammersmith and he delivers a very solid
performance. It's disgraceful that this magnificent concert hasn't yet been
officially released by QP. It's really a shame that we still have to wait for Freddie
Mercury's best live performance ever.
Sometimes I hate to be a fan of Queen, and Brian May may not remove anything from this concert, and dedicated to get new remastered versions of GH1 and GH2??
was just watching Pittrek's great multi-source dvd of this concert, and noticed something i never did before:
near the end of Now I'm Here, when they're seconds from the big final chord, and they do short "stabs" building up to the finish... Freddie is heading toward Brian and striking some of his brilliant signature poses (if there are any quality shots of those moments, there's your eventual dvd release album cover) and he apparently BENDS his mic stand in his abandon! there's a brief shot of him realizing it (to the right of the drum riser) and turning it so he can BEND IT BACK STRAIGHT just before the footage cuts to Roger's drum flourish before the final hit. LOVE IT.
