So, recently I was reading up on some GNR live concerts, and how Axl was directly or indirectly responsible for about half a dozen riots, and would just walk off in the middle of a concert because something had pissed him off. I thought to myself you'd never see Freddie pulling crap like that, and it got me wondering if Queen ever had to stop a concert in the middle of things and leave. Does anyone know, has this ever happened? I seem to vaguely remember Freddie breaking a leg or something during one concert and had to be carried off but I don't really recall the reference.

He actually interrupted a concert in Dortmund in 82, when some people started a fight in the front rows.
He took one of his water cups and threw it into their direction. I couldn't see, whether he had hit the right people, but the audience around greeted his reaction with applause.
Wonder if those people are proud today...."Hey...Freddie threw a cup on us"....;-)
Hanover, Germany 1984 Freddie fell down some stairs, got carried to the piano, played
Bo rap, wwry and watc to end the show early.
One of the sun city dates had to be cancelled mid concert because Freddie completely lost his voice.
They cut "who wants to live forever" a couple of times on the magic
tour if the crowd were rowdy.
I think that’s about it, they we're very professional, even if they didn't like
the crowd.
Some trouble at the front of the gig in Ireland at Slane Castle 1986 - Freddie stops the gig to sort it and then pulls the crowd back on side - use the link to watch. link
Cheers
I don't know if this counts but they had to leave the stage after Somebody To Love in Chicago in 78 due to some sound issues. They returned several minutes later.
As far as I know, the closest Queen ever came to quitting part way through a performance was Chicago 1-28-77. People were throwing food at the band from the balcony, and during The Millionaire Waltz Brian May slipped on a dozen eggs and bruised his tailbone. They left the stage, the house lights came back on, and they discussed the game plan. In the end they decided to continue, otherwise, as Brian put it years later, "the bad guys would win." They came back on, Freddie told off the guys in the audience, and finished the show, but only played one encore probably because Brian was in too much pain from his fall.
Wasn't this the gig where the fans were outside waiting in the freezing temperatures and Freddie refused to let management open the doors to start letting people in because they hadn't done their soundcheck yet? Also, Lizzy's Scott Gorham got hit with something didn't he? Maybe fans retaliated for having to wait.
