Rock It: know that both Freddie and Roger recorded takes and they put them together for the album version. Are the alternate parts around?
See What A Fool: They recorded it twice, with the second one on Queen II's re-release/B-Side of Seven Seas. Whats the first one like? Does Freddie do his ridiculous vocals on the first one too?
Thanks
Re: See What A Fool I've Been
Queen recorded the BBC version July 25, 1973. It's pretty much the straightforward version, similar to their live versions, with lyrics not present in the B-Side version.
The B-side version was recorded in August of 1973, probably for Queen II, but not used. It has the burlesque vocal, which I've always thought were a lot of fun. After listening to this version, how could any fan be surprised by anything Queen and Freddie did later in their careers? It's campy, over-the-top awesomeness! Love it for what it is, kids!
