Brian is sitting in Roger Taylor’s living room. No, not THAT Roger Taylor, but the owner of a charming cottage in Upper Settle, who happens to share names with Brian’s bandmate Roger Taylor, the drummer in Queen.
This Roger Taylor, curator of a most unusual art gallery just yards from his home, is also the reason why May braved the driving Thursday afternoon drizzle to visit a quaint market town 10 miles outside Ingleton.
“I’ve known Roger for many years,” he explains.
“He’s like a mentor to us, a professor of photography.
“Although the first time he rang up my office and said ‘It’s Roger Taylor’ (it was confusing) because he doesn’t sound anything like the other Roger Taylor...!”
He may have a multi-millionaire life as a global rock megastar but Brian also enjoys more simple pleasures.
