A short question - when was the first Queen video for Bicycle Race show on television ?
It was introduced by Debbie Harry ...
Many years later part of it was reused for the new promo video for Bicycle Race, which was released on the Greatest Video Hits DVD, but the released video uses part of the original video and parts of the famous naked bicycle race.
Any ideas WHEN and WHERE was the original video shown ? I'm searching for the information about the broadcast which was introduced by Debbie
The Midnight Special (TV series1972–1981) NBC USA.
Episode #7.13
First broadcast 19 January 1979

I used to, maybe still have, the Debbie Harry intro to Queen, just the intro, not the performances, can't find it though.
It was simply called debbieharryintroducesqueen.mpg. Got it from the hub.
I recall seeing the Midnight Special footage on some bootlegger's lists about ten years ago. I recall it said it was 15 minutes long, so maybe there was another song. But again, these guys probably just rounded up to make it look like the footage was longer. Indeed, it was just the promo videos being played. Most other artists played live on the show.
Yeah, I have looked for the clip but can't find it. Debbie Harry introduces the Queen clips by saying something like.
" And now a band whose lead singer has the tightest trousers in rock and roll Queen!"
I know at one time Debborah Harry was together with our Roger Taylor. They had some brief relationship.... I don;t know if it was this time they were dating...
