The album seems to have gone in at no. 15, which is pretty good for a 'middle of the road' West End/Pop album.
Is that a higher chart position than The Cosmos Rocks? I can't recall right now
Isn't it funny how "Anthems" only reached no.15 (so far) with TONS of TV promotion plus a Hyde Park festival appearance, while TCR reached no.5 with considerably much much less prior promotion (I'd even say promoted more by word of mouth than by company sanctioned press release promos and the kind)?
Not that I'm dissing "Anthems" here, it's a VERY fine album and I love it just as much as I do with TCR! But something's very amiss here...
One has the 'Queen' name on it and one doesn't.
That's why Brian and Roger have kept using it.
Joe Public buy 'Queen' products, which is why they keep putting out the same old same old.
I think the reason it hasnt done as well as TCR, so far at least, is because the general public, outside of musical theatre fandom, dont really know who the hell Kerry Ellis is. And those who did, some "might" have downloaded the album illegally - thus affecting the potential sales of the album TCR had the helping hand of a double-edged sword in all of Paul's fans as well as the Queen fans.

I just goes to show that you can't make a silk purse out of a piece of shite....or something like that, I think that's the way the saying goes.
You can't make it out of a sow's ear Paul :-)
Still - Kerry's god a great ass, lovely tits and looks great in tight dresses; the more promotion for this the better even though it's a great big polished turd of a karaoke album.
