I'd like to see Owen Wilson as Rog, Orlando Bloom as Brian and Jon Cryer as John D |
tjleone 18.09.2010 23:40 |
Rutger Hauer has been signed on to play Roger. |

Adrian Brody for Brian May. They don't look alike, but he has that whole 'I'm a persecuted jew' thing going on. |

lifetimefanofqueen 19.09.2010 11:45 |
im saying im a little bit Jewish, in my opinion my little finger is jewish because it never smiles and is a bank accountanat |

"im not gonna get pissed off with u for the Jew thing because i'm a tad bit Jewish, but just a little, my grandads great nan was Jewish so yeah :P" I'm not even sure how it works. I've been repeatedly told it's mainly dependent on what your mother was, but then why are there so many jewish guys around? It'd have to end somewhere. I'm supposedly some kind of Catholic, but I ain't been inside a church for around 20 years. I know too many jews to be uptight about jew jibes these days. Where do you think I heard all of the worst jokes?? Ha. |
john bodega 19.09.2010 11:54 |
Besides which, I was only half kidding about Brody. Y'know ... with an afro wig on, he could probably do it ... |
Daniel Nester 19.09.2010 15:29 |
Can't we just say Zebonka just made an anti-semetic joke and leave it at that, regardless of parentage? |

Adrien Brody was my pick too...with Rufus for Rog (Can he learn to act and age 10 years FAST?) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt for Deacy. (500)Days of Summer) |
YannickJoker 19.09.2010 17:17 |
Paul Rodgers will do a cameo as himself. Freddie will meet him and then tells him he's his favorite singer. |
Holly2003 19.09.2010 17:49 |
Fred - Sylvester Stallone Brian - Morgan Freeman Roger - Vin Diesel John - Woody Allen Unlikely I know, but I'd watch it. |
paulosham 19.09.2010 18:16 |

I think Jon Cryer as John would be perfect. But I don't they are gonna use rutger haur as Roger especially since he is 40 years older than Roger would be in the movie. Personally I think Gabourey Sidibe should play Brian. Look her up and tell me what you think ;) |
tjleone 19.09.2010 22:04 |
I was joking about rutger |
jamster1111 19.09.2010 23:15 |
Figures. This is what should be the real cast: Tu Pac as Brian May Jack Black as Roger Taylor Arnold Schwarzenegger as John Deacon Gabourey Sidibe as Mary Austin and finally................ Samuel L. Jackson as Freddie |
john bodega 20.09.2010 02:57 |
I think William Shatner with a shocking blond wig would make a great present-day Roy Thomas Baker. |
Holly2003 20.09.2010 04:10 |
Sasha Cohen is excellent and will probably do very well in this . However, the only films about musicians or bands that actually stand up to close scrutiny and are of any value are The Buddy Holly Story (with an incredibe performance by Gary Busey) and Oliver Stone's The Doors. The Johnny Cash film was just okay. Others about The Beatles, The Monkeys, hendrix, Elvis etc have all sucked, so I wont be holding my breath waiting for the Fred movie. |
Bo Rhap 20.09.2010 05:11 |
How about Gilbert O'Sullivan for Brian. At least he looks like him link |
john bodega 20.09.2010 06:22 |
Is it too early to place bets on how good/bad it might end up? Personally I'm hoping for better than the Joan Jett movie that was just done ... |

Though i was hoping for a serious acting choice rather than popularity attempt (with Borat) Fred: Sacha Baron Asshole. (Instead of the rightful choice Natasha Bedingfield) Rog = (Only Cause Rue McClanahan has since passed) Bri = Orlando Bloom...or Ludacris if Orlando's unavailable.. (Only cause i can't think of another "Queen" who would meet the match) John.... well... john could be played by a CGI character. |
YannickJoker 20.09.2010 15:37 |
Roger = Jack Nicholson Brian = Marlon Brando John = Peter Sellers Confirmed yesterday. |

What do you mean a serious acting choice, just because someone plays comedy characters(characters who are extremely well crafted) doesn't mean they aren't a serious actor. I think the fact that you don't take Sacha Baron Cohen as a serious acting choice goes to show just how good he is. |

I think the fact that you don't take Sacha Baron Cohen as a serious acting choice goes to show just how good he is. -------------------------- Well you may have had a point, if it was hard at all to keep from smiling or cracking up during his schtick... BUT(!) hell, just watching his films, i kinda had the same response. I hardly broke a smile either... big deal. Tepid crap and marginally "shock" stuff seems to somehow pass off as comedy these days... woo hoo! But yea, that's what i'm afraid of. Giving the douchebag some credibility. Well,... no sense in lying about it. ...BUT.. the guy is like ten feet tall (compared to Freddie Mercury)... oh well... whoever gave it the green light... ya never know. On the PLUS size... he probably wouldn't find it hard at all to make out with other dudes (if the film calls for that)... so maybe you have a point. This might create a revival...with a bad film. Kinda like "walk the line" (which wasn't so great) did for Johnny Cash. I keep forgetting that week after week, weak things perform well at the box office so,... yes, you're right i may have underestimated both the ability and box office potential. But that's cause it sounds dreadful. As for the bias...yeah, i think it was clear by calling him an asshole. That's hardly impartial. :) |

If only Anita Dobson had met Brian before 1985 , she could of played herself in the film, if they were to include family life |

"if only Anita Dobson had met Brian before 1985 , she could of played herself in the film" She still could. Her wrinkles, and that overall "dried zombie, beef jerky" look on her face is totally timeless. |

It'll be important to get each members mannerisms and voices down, therefore I'm electing Wilford Brimley play all the parts. |
