Bad enough that I was actually watching the Shawn Cassidy biography on the Biography Channel, but I got excited when David Cassidy mentioned Queen. Evidently, Shawn Cassidy didn't want to be a teen star like his brother David(Keith Partridge of The Partridge Family :D ), but wanted to be a real rocker like Queen, Bowie or Led Zeppelin.
:D
Ha ha. I love thinking about my kidhood. What's Mr. Da Do Ron Ron (rock ON Shaun!) up to these days? Brother David was my first mini crush. Shaun was too pretty for me even at 10 years old. lol
Great Singer... Great Song !!!
By the way... The Clip is a product of a german music tv-show on ZDF called Hitparade. Presented by Dieter Thomas Heck. Later by Viktor Worms and Uwe Hübner.
Produced 1969–2000
Yea.I'm old enough to remember him too.
Well to be honest with you all, pretty soon i'll be celebrating my 50th soon.Although i was more into David Bowie,Bad Company,Free,Sweet, early Roxy Music,Mott The Hoople before Queen came along
Not to mention others like The Wurzels XD
I was never really a superduper Shaun Cassidy fan, but I watched his biography because it did bring back memories! I did have a little crush on Keith Partridge, though. :D
Before Queen for me, it was John Denver, Neil Diamond, Peter Paul and Mary, The Jacksons...Queen were my first real rock and roll band. And they were so mysterious, back then. Their photos were not all over the teen mags in the US, so that you didn't really know what they looked like, or very much about them at all. The mystique was part of the appeal, I think. It really was all about The Music. They were like the anti- teen idols, back then.

I still like this song. Sue me! ;)
Thinking about Shaun Cassidy got me thinking about this one from the same era the other day. Andy Gibb was probably the most talented of all out of that 70's crop of male solo artists, excepting Michael Jackson. His death and the years leading up to it were genuinely sad.
