Vote for Roger in the BBC's Poll to find the best Fantasty Band. Roger is included in the short list of drummers so it is time to vote him on the band!

Yeah Rogers not on that list....:( Which is odd cos at the end of that programme they said about voting on their website for the best Drummer & showed a clip of Roger aswell as various other drummers...
Roger should definatly be on that list!
Yes - I have separately e-mailed the site. The programme featured Roger heavily (some great new interview material) and also included visuals of him when they mentioned the shortlist - very misleading. I just noticed that he wasn't actually included shortly after. Sorry - Vote for Freddie in the Frontman category though!
There's not much to vote for... only drummers of famous bands that I would never listent to... Don't they want a really good drummer instead of a famous one?

As a drummer, I can vouch for the drummers in that list mostly being worth their place on ability, not just media presence!
I'd love to have seen Roger in there based on influence as much as ability and diversity, but seeing the list I can at least
warrant reasons for him not being there (but Lars Oilrig?!?!)
Far, far more baffling however is Brian not being in the guitarist shortlist. Regardless of being a Queen fan he should DEFINITELY be there on ability, influence, staying power, and any other yardstick they care to measure by. The inclusion of some of the people there (Jonny Marr for instance) is really an insult to Brian, and just an indicative summary of the pretentious, full of themselves, arty, twatty, trying to be hip, DJs and music journos that have complied the list, and that think that cos Brian is 'uncool' and his wife was is a soap opera he doesn't warrant inclusion. A disgrace.
Charlie bloody Watts???? Do me a favour. The Stones could have played with a metronome all these years and nobody would have notice. The metronome would have more personality that's for sure.
My fave drummer of all time isn't up there and should be, the late great Jeff Porcaro from Toto and a million sessions. My problem isn't so much who's not there but who is there. That's why I picked on Chuck Watts. What about Buddy Rich, maybe not a rock drummer but an influence to most none the less. Neil Peart has already been mentioned, truely worth a place ahead of Wattsy. And isn't Taylor Hawkins just as good a drummer as Dave Grohl??? There are so many more to choose from, Clem Burke from Blondie, Tony Thompson(RIP) from Chic and The Power Station and of course Jason Bonham. I even have my doubts about Ringo and Lars being in there. I feel a bit better now I've had my rant. Gonna play some drums now.
