Just closed an auction on ebay for a misterious gold vinyl promo from Germany of Innuendo. Sold for more than 300 euro.. seller didn't give much informations even if asked from me and other collectors. I asked for cat number and matrix informations but nothing. Has anybody ever seen this record??
If you don't know it how am I supposed to know? ;-)
Seriously, i've never seen this item. But hey, there are some more strange Innuendo promo items (the instant photo camera for instance).
Hi guys...
don't want to be a killjoy...
I could have sworn that I've seen that one some years ago on ebay - from a well known ebay-seller! Not the same that was selling this now!
The reason why the seller from the requested item didn't answer questions about the matrix numbers?
There are probably no matrix numbers!
About 300 €uros for a fake press?!? That's ridiculous!

Thanks for clearing up!
Yes - MG was the seller I'm thinking about... but I'm not sure at all!
I mean - I also would have love to posses this unknown Innuendo Promo Pressing - but only if it's genuine!
Personally I don't think this is genuine - not because of the fact that I didn't get it... but...
Come on guys there are so many promo items - and even if they are rare - they come up from time to time!
Nothing is that rare except some well known acetates for example!
There are no further reports of this Innuendo Promo Press on any Queen Forum or the collector's pages!
The seller didn't reply about the Matrix Numbers! So I suppose this is a fake!

Let's suppose that EMI Germany pressed a promo copy of the single... this may have been real and it can be also accepted that if really sent out to few radio or press agents it may have been hidden for such a long time.
BUT!!
there is no reason to print a gold vinyl than the standar black one.
record should have been printed with same mother plants than the further commercial pressings (like usually we see in test pressing editions) and for this reason should have come with matrix numbers in the runoff... even if with blank labels.
So if you as seller reply to this simple question you probably clear out things and let serious collectors bid on it reaching maybe sums much higher than 300 euro for an never heard record. (I want to remember the only appearance of a first ep with diff. colours on sleeve from INDIA which reached something arounf 800 us dollars)
