Alright, so I'm a noob right. I did, however, get a bit inspired by some of these remixes (the ones that are still active anyway....) and wanted to try my hand.
So, here's my feeble attempt at an unlikely song. I didn't do much really; added a low string/piano part for some oomph which I think gives a creepy sort of vibe to an already creepy song. Took out the "Stars on 45" bit and inserted a cacophonous riot comprised of some Queeny bits stirred and shaken and then, finally, gave myself a hand.
Hope you like it and comments/constructive criticism/derision invited!
Thanks for sharing, and congrats on your first mix!
Sadly, this did nothing for me at all, as I hate the song with a vengeance bordering on the psychotic. You can't polish a turd, and I'm afraid this remix did nothing to improve one of the band's worst songs, in my personal opinion.
Don't let that put you off, though. Your One Vision mix is much better. It's just a shame you chose this as your début. :)
Having listened to this mix a few more times, nice idea, but I'm not to keen on the noisey bit toward the end. But saying that, I'm only a novice myself & have not mixing for long, so for your first attempt at a mix, well done.
A bit of advice, listen to what the other fan mixers are saying, don't take everything to heart, learn from what they are saying, especially the pro's like Daniel, Fickle & Brian's wig. Don't be downhearted if somebody gives you negative comments. It makes you strive to get it right.
Thanks fellas. Yeah man, the song is not much to begin with. Certainly not one of my favorites. Really just started with wanting to edit the goofy 'medley' out.
The 'noisy' bit was fun to create. I knew it wasn't a great mix/idea anyway.
