In the slim chance that he even pokes his head in this section, I have a QUESTION for Greg regarding the Q+PR stuff.
Greg, do they even care about this stuff? Seems that every concert is available over the web and the merchandise from that tour is worthless. I just wonder if your job entails any of this era or do you just stick to the "Pure" Queen stuff.
I'd love to hear more stuff from this period of the band's history. I just wish they had done more with the Album Club at the official website, like weekly videos from the recording process, maybe an exclusive download ("We Believe" sung by Brian or "Surf's Up... School's Out" by Roger or something) etc.

too right. they missed the boat on several aspects of that project.
look at the live downloads; why no complete gigs? why no dvds? they were already filming the gigs
look at the snippet from o2 with al murray. I would pay good money for a complete dvd of the show
(brian also admitted that the album club wasn't a success)
Yes, judging from the sales during this period, it would have made sense to make some of this available thru the online store. Instead of all the Q+PR DVDs sitting on the shelves waiting to be returned as deadstock, here would be an opportunity to sell some extras without over manufacturing product.
Plus, you could offer a bonus DVD pack for $5 more by adding one of the thousands of Cosmos Rocks coffee mugs that some foreign country is going to receive.
I saw the Cleveland show and would gladly pay $20 for a DVD-R of the show from Queenonline.com. Might even buy a couple more while I'm at it. 100% profit would go to Queen. No distributors, label fees, etc.
I still am curious as to what the worldwide sales of the studio l.p. "The Cosmos Rocks" as well as "Return Of The Champions". At least in comparison to other Queen releases. Whatever the deal is I consider both albums to be classic and of their best. I have nothing but the highest of expectations for a good many more studio l.p.s of new songs and re-recordings of old songs that were both hits and were not (some could be released and some could be put in the vaults for later releases). These are some of my wildest dreams that I pray come true over the next decade and a half....
