I've been thinking about posting some audio interviews with the band that I downloaded from the Hub. Would there be any interest in that kind of thing? V. |
Rami 06.02.2010 09:43 |
Definitely! That would be great!! |
benelui 06.02.2010 11:55 |
Of course it'd be great!!! Thanx in advance! [/img] L |

Here's three interviews as a start: link One interview with Fred from the 80's, a long interview with Brian, Roger and Paul from 2006 and a hilarious Brian interview with Howard Stern from 1993. Enjoy! :) V. |
bigV 06.02.2010 12:39 |
If you like them I'll post some more. V. |
paul mason 06.02.2010 12:52 |

Interviews? Oh don't be ridiculous! (Freddie in 1986 in Budapest) |
_Bijou_ 06.02.2010 22:26 |
Thanks. It was an interesting listen but I didn't like the Howard Stern interview. I didn't like those two and their pointless, childish questions. |

Well each to their own. Lol |
Rami 07.02.2010 06:08 |

bigV 07.02.2010 06:36 |
Just uploaded four more interviews. This time individual interviews with all members of the band from 1977. Enjoy! :) V. |
Pim Derks 07.02.2010 11:18 |
Thanks for uploading, always nice to hear long interviews instead of the 5 minute plugs for Absolute Greatest, the WWRY musical or one of Brian's silly books. |
bigV 07.02.2010 11:52 |
The XM Radio Deep Tracks interview is pretty cool. Brian, Roger and Paul talking tour, musical tastes, writing together (this is pre-TCR) and everything else for the better part of an hour. A joy to listen to. I wish I could upload the Radio 1 "Queen for an hour" interview, but it's official material, so... Track it down, I highly recommend it. It's arguably THE most enjoyable one hour I've spent as a Queen fan. V. |

Hasn't been my experience at all. Perhaps it would have been wiser to keep such a (seemingly rash) judgement to yourself? I mean if we're all such arseholes then throwing insults around is only going to discourage us further, no? Anyway, thank you for sharing these bigV, I shall enjoy giving them a listen! |
bigV 10.02.2010 11:40 |
Two more interviews added, the address is still the same. Actually these are not so much interviews, but rather radio shows of Brian and Roger going through some of their all-time favourite songs. Both are from BBC Radio. Interesting stuff. V. |
bigV 12.02.2010 10:53 |
Adding two more interviews at the moment. The first is a 1985 Freddie interview with Simon Bates. The second is Brian and Paul just before the beginning of the 2005 tour, during the rehearsal stage. Enjoy! :) V. |
bigV 12.02.2010 10:56 |
This is a list of interviews, taken from Queenpedia. I've highlighted the ones I have. If any interview looks interesting, don't hesitate to ask and I'll be happy to upload it. Also, if you have any of the ones that are not highlighted, please feel free to contribute :) V. |

Sorry for the lack of uploads the past few days. I'll catch up, I promise! V. As a Queen collector who has only just started collecting the Interview boots, I for one, am extremely grateful for your generosity. Thankyou. As I have said elsewhere in this thread you have so many!!!! & you say that you will be uploading more, well what can I say but "you're a credit to QZ", I'll be watching this thread eagerly, Thanks again BigV for all your interviews that you have shared, so far!!!!! |

bigV 18.02.2010 13:19 |
Oh, well. I've been slow on updates lately, so I'm catching up. Just uploaded two more. Both from 2005, both from Alice Cooper's show "Nights with Alice Cooper", one of them is with Brian and the other with Paul (talking about QPR). V. |

Dear BigV, thank you for sharing those interviews with us. I'm not a collector of interviews, though. But the interviews from Detroit back in 1977 are absolut fantastic. Freddie asked for the tea very politely and he can't remember one song with an ukulele from "A Night At The Opera". I think he meant "Leroy Brown" from "Sheer Heart Attack" didn't he? All four were very open minded. Brain a little bit shy and Freddie sometimes breakable like a glas of vine. With your eyes closed it's easy to imagine how they were sittin' on a leather sofa (for example) and talking about the music in the end if the 70's. Absolutely a great gift. Thanks again and regards W. |

Thanks again and regards W.Well, the people to thank are the people who originally recorded this stuff and were kind enough to share it. I'm just spreading it further and it's my absolute pleasure to do so! :) And I think Freddie meant "Good Company" because he says something like "that George-Fornby-ukulele-number... what's it called?". The song "Good Company" features a genuine George Fornby ukulele, which is apparently a big deal. That party of the interview was re-used for the 30th anniversary special edition of ANATO. Interviews are great. If you're a driver I recommend listening to them on your car stereo while driving. You'll almost feel like the show is live at this very moment with Freddie, Brian, Roger, John or Paul... V. |

Two more interviews, both with Brian, one from 2001 and the other from 2002. The first one is about the release of the first Air Guitar album, while the second is the ubiquitous Desert Island discs show. Not very imaginative this evening, I'm sorry. But the next addition will be great. Promise! By the way, can someone tell me for certain that I cannot share the "Queen For an Hour" interview. I mean, sure it was officially released, but it was only a promo. I really want to share it. It would be a treat to any Queen fan, I'm sure. V. |

Not quite sure about the "Queen For An Hour" being shared? bit of a touchy subject. If it has been recorded direct from the radio (with Ads & breaks ect) & does not have the "Thank God It's Christmas" on it, Maybe??? You best ask Barbara. Knebworth has been shared several times on here, audience recording, even though most of it has been released on "Live Magic" & "under Pressure - rah mix", but saying that people tended to shy away from uploading the boot version of Q+PR Sheffield 2005, because of the "Return of the champions" release. so again, I would ask Barbara or Richard if you can??? BigV thanks again for these interviews, :-) |

I expect all the music has been removed from these? I know I'm cutting off my nose to spite my face, but sometimes the music is the whole point of an interview. For example, I have the first UK (worldwide??) airplay of Innuendo from 1991 with Brian being interviewed. That's a magical experience, but without the music it's nothing. |
