Anyone have any particularly fondly remembered Christmas presents? Or anything about Christmas for that matter?
I remember being a wise man in a play (i am a girl, i dont know why i was a wise man) and having to keep asking when we would arrive at the stable in a nativity play. Another wise man had to say if i kept asking he would scream, and then he screamed. And i was bitterly dissappointed that i did not get to scream, cos he barely squeaked, and i would have let rip (which is probably exactly why he was given that part and i was not!).
I also remember getting a Sylvanian Families toy treehouse when i was little... such a treasured toy! I still have it for my kids whenever they materialise. Last year as a joke i was given an adult size space hopper! Great fun! :)
I remember getting the Freddie massive solo box set in Christmas 2000 = I'd waited ages for it to come out.
Fondest one ever is tough...oh I know not an actual gift but Christmas 2003 I got into the University I wanted to go to and found out on 21st Dec and then passed my driving test on 22nd Dec. Best Christmas ever!
MY FIRST PONY WAS THE BEST EVER PRESENT EVER!!! I love him, even though he is now 26 and can't be ridden. Another great one would be my first real carrot stick. Oh and seeing my cousin for the first time since we were three in 07 was great too!!!
Lmao.
Have you seen Alice Cooper's version of Santa Claus is coming to town? I watched it a while back when i was sooo sick of the sticky sweetness and fakeness I was surrounded with, and it restored my cynicism and made me feel human again. Andy yes, i am aware that this is a sticky sweet thread. :P
Here is the link, i know its late by now, but it is well worth watching... "he knows when your window is open darling..."
My best Christmas gift would have to be the Mega Drive I got for my 11th birthday in 1992. I acquired the Sonic the Hedgehog games along with many others and don't think I breathed fresh air more than seven times that summer!
