The Wikipedia entry suggested it was taken from a forthcoming album. But I questioned that in the discussion page as I've seen no evidence of an album.
The wikipedia entry about The Unblinking Eye is a very weak story. It was online even before the song was released; one day after Thomas Zeidler's interview appeared on the web.
The 'history' is based on the official press release. The only confirmed song is TUE. The only reference is the message on QOL. The author writes that Roger himself played the violin. Hmm...
If there will be a Roger-Taylor-Hawkins-tour, it would be great if Hawkins also contributed to RT's album. I think they could be a very creative team. Some heavy songs would be very welcome.
Roger confirmed earlier in the year that he was currently going through all his solo material to put together a 'best of' album. I would imagine that TUE will possibly feature, maybe with another new song, on that, in order to tempt those who already own all the solo stuff to get the compilation too. Hopefully the 'best of' will feature some of the 12" mixes and b sides remastered, or some old demos, or possibly some live tracks, but that it just my hope and not based on any information
I wonder if there is really interest in a best-of compilation. I think Roger would be better of making new music or releasing archive material through QOL. No-one but the fans is interested in his solo output - and the fans already have most of the solo stuff - and I think his albums are still easy to get (except for The Cross ofcourse)....
Anyway - IF he decides to release a solo-retrospective I hope it'll include some stuff not yet available on CD. Something like this.
