I've seen alot of Queen concerts but I was just curious to know if "Nevermore" was ever performed in concert and if so is there any footage or video of this? I would think it would have served good as part of a medley or something.
I once heard they did a Fairy Feller's Master Stroke improv at one concert. Someone posted this a long time ago on this very message board. Whether this is true, I don't know, but it's interesting nonetheless.
I guess the Knebworth thing is suppose to be sarcasm. I've heard that show so know that's not true but anyways......thanks to all who tried to find it or answered my question...
.the nearest the y got to doing it live i suppose was at langham 1 studios, london, for the bbc sessions on april 3rd 1974. i own a bootleg of this recording and it is a little gem.seen them live 7 times (77-86) and it was never performed then.
it's amazing how this song seems to be held in such high regard, so beautifully exquisite as it is. ive experienced non queen fans hearing this and being completely bowled over by it .for me, this and the criminally underrated 'the night comes down' present queen at their most subtle beautiful.
Very well put Master Marathon. I too feel "The Night Comes Down" is a very good precursor from the 1st album of that trademark sound they would go on to make so popular.
