I am working on a comprehensive list of Queen releases in the U.K. and the U.S. and I need some help.
I am looking for the release dates (month and date) of the 1993-94 Digital Remaster Series as well as the release dates (again, month and date) of the 1986 U.K. cd releases. If anyone could help that would be awesome! Thank you.
Thank you Walter B. for the info! I have some of the Elektra and Capitol releases U.S. release dates but not all. I also don't have any of the 1992 EMI remasters release dates. So any more info or where to find the info would awesome. I am also going to try and include the catalog numbers. I want them to be as detailed and comprehensive has possible.
Thank you again for the help :)

You are welcome!
I am interested in your Elektra en Capitol dates! Could you post them please?
I don't think that Hot Space was released by Capitol Records or Elektra. Hollywood Records first released the back catalogue in 1991.
Are you sure those releasedate are for the cd albums? The dates you have are for the vinyls and I am not sure the vinyls and the cds were released the same day.
Elektra Records also released News of the World and The Game in the early eighties. You can quite easily find them on eBay. Search for "Target" and the album title.
Those dates are for the vinyls and cassette and I thought they would be for the CD's as well. I will do some more digging and see what I can find.
Thank you.

by the way Hot Space was released May 25, 1982. That is for the LP and cassette I can't find if there was a cd released in 1982.
Yes Hot Space was released on CD in 1982, three years before the first CD (ABBA) was ever pressed. It is probably the rarest CD ever.
I think it was released on Rap-A-Lot records, the same company that produced The Ghetto Boys.
The first album to be released on CD was Billy Joel's 52nd Street, that reached the market alongside Sony's CD player CDP-101 on October 1, 1982 in Japan.

I have found two release dates for News Of The World and The Game Elektra CD's
The Game September 13, 1983
I also found this date for both CD's
September 1, 1986
News Of The World
The Game
Not really sure which date is correct.
Interesting. Where did you find those release dates, if I may ask?
Most of my Queen CD's are from that "area", and on Hot Space, there's a little, weird pause on Back Chat.
I posted a thread about this a couple of years ago. I just thought it might be of interest to you...?
