Having been listening non stop to the new Beatles remasters and with all the recent Beatles chat here I started thinking how "Beatles sounding" some of Brian's material was while listening to songs like Fool On The Hill, Ob-la-di, When I'm 64, While My Guitar Gently Weeps... among others (IMO), and how influenced he must have been by the Fab 4 (IMO).
Songs like Good Company, All Dead, Sail Away Sweet Sister, Sleeping On The Sidewalk... they all to me could quite easily have been sung by Paul, George, or John (not Ringo... he was shit).
Obviously his big guitar sound is totally him and Queen, and he obviously has other influences, but can anyone else see similarities between his simpler songs and his vocal style and the Beatles? The songs i mentioned are just songs that I personally feel made me think this way btw.
I'd like to be, under the sea, da da da da da da da da da da .
But seriously, I don't think there can be any doubt the whole band were influenced by the Beatles. I remember Roger saying that Believe in Yourself from Electric Fire was 'me trying to write like The Beatles'
Really though no self respecting Rock band from the 60's onwards aren't influenced by the Beatles, they were great.

Any thoughts???
"Someday One Day" is the more beetle-esque of all Queen songs I can think of. "Life is Real" doesn't count, does it? :)
For some reason Paul McCartney's "Hope of Deliverance" has always reminded me of "39". But yeah, I think ANY band that started off in the late 60s and early 70s MUST have been influenced by The Beatles.
V.
Absolutely..
We could find dozens of examples..
The armonies in "because"..
The middle eight of Rocky racoon/Good company.
"the beatles were our bible" (Brian)
So.. yes...
