To any Queenzoners living around Brussels, I will be performing for my final Exam, in "Grande Salle", of the Conservatoire Royal de Musique (rue de la Régence 30), Friday, june 26th, at 18h30.
Free entrance,
I will perform Benjamin Britten's Lachrymae (reflections on a song of Dowland), William Walton's Viola Concerto, and Hora lunga, first mouvement from György Ligeti's Sonate for Viola Solo.
This place seems awfully big, when empty, and I'd like not to see the jury, and won't, if they are overrunned by friends and support...
It's really nice to read stuff that define (for me) the word "community".
A couple of days ago, I was trying to remember the various usernames, that often make this site, a hell of a website!
Though I don't post much, I am regularly reading those forums, learning many facts, mostly in a hearty atmosphere.
So thank you all, you rule!
And I'd be really pleased if somebody, at the end of my performance comes and tells me "hi greataddict..."
I'll do my best to rock your ears away!
The Walton Concerto's 2nd mouvement is (for me) all about that (if you can hear it, I'd suggest Nigel Kennedy's recording, even if he's a violin player (and a great one)
