Does MINT mean sealed?
Or are you using the French definition of the word:
"MINT - Opened it, leafed thru the book, watched the DVD, but kept it really, really nice."
Perhaps he is using the official definition written by Microwave's American Financial Industry:
MINT -
1. Accidentally ran over the box set with a Hummer during a rainstorm, and dragged it through an oil slick in the garage.
2. Photocopied the book but left out the pages that had blew away during the storm.
3. As the CD's and DVD's were shattered, downloaded the songs onto one CD-R, and the videos onto another CD-R.
4. Claimed that the box set was autographed by Fredy and signed it Microwave instead.
7. Claimed it is a rare Antarctic release.
5. Duct taped the CD-R's to the autographed, tread-marked left-over packaging.
9. Sold it on E-Bay for $10,058.09, pocketed the money, but did not send the package.
8. When the buyer complained on Queenzone, Microwave claimed the mailed package was stolen by Rostafarians.
6. Microwave finally succumbs to Queenzone pressure, and mails the bogus package to the unfortunate buyer.
10. When the buyer finally receives the package and again complains on Queenzone ...
Microwave claims that he fulfilled his end of the deal, and that Microwave deserved every penny, because he worked "overtime" to provide the buyer with the all the songs and videos. When Microwave is sued, he demands that Queenzone finance his massive legal bills, because Queenzone destroyed his reputation.
Just cleaning out my collection (should have done that a long time before)
Never listen to the discs anymore (not a cd fan either)
and almost never look at the book.
Why still keep it? I have no reason really.

There is another definition for MINT.
to make or fabricate; invent: to mint words
Perhaps that's what you were trying to do.
If you're not even interested in the slightest, why bother interferring continuously? Is it a personal matter, did Ducksoup rip you off once? (which seems a far-fetched idea since I know he's a reliable Queen collector/trader)
If you nitpick, please be consistent, meaning correcting other members as well. I see loads of QZoners who don't use interpunction. Perhaps you could make a study out of that :)
Fair enough, Rick. But if he's such a respected collector, you would think that he would understand the definition of the term "Mint" when dealing with collectables.
Has he ripped me off? No. I wouldn't buy anything from him, now, since it wouldn't be as described.
Someone looking for a MINT copy of this box set would be disappointed that it's been thumbed through, well, at least a "collector" would. So I probably, at least, stopped someone from making a mistake. He should have used the term "Near Mint", if it is indeed unblemished. (No fingerprints on the pages, nice crisp binding on the book, etc.)
It bothered you three people.
So I upset you by correcting people's use of the English language on this website. Well, Rick, you have never really been on my list, so I'll give you a pass. But there are plenty of people who could really use this advice, since they're unable to obtain it on their own. Now, you three have a full and complete understanding of what MINT means, in the collector's world. Since you are all "collectors", I would think this would be rather useful information. So you bitch... go on, get it all out. I feel satisfied for having educated you in the first place, regardless of what you think.
Funny, my customers never complain. They seem quite happy with the items from my collection. Of course, because most items in my collection are in fantastic condition since I have been very carefully selecting, collecting and storing them for over the last 15 years.
Also, people who have done trades with me know I'm 100% trustworthy and always keep my promisses.
(and mouth shut, if needed).
But yet still, this Microwave person, who has been falsely accusing me from selling bootlegs, who has never bought a single item from my collection, and never ever traded with me thinks he knows me and thinks to know that my items don't match my description.
All this childish behaviour started because I dared to say that I thought most of Microwave's posts are very childish. I said that in topic where he was making fun of a fellow collector from France who was just trying to sell some nice items from his personal collection. http://www.queenconcerts.com/queenzone/1168930.html
After that post I made, Microwave starts acting like a child again.
Grow up dude. You are pathetic.
Well, you probably learned something extremely valuable about collecting from this thread.
You're just to childish and immature to see what it is. But you are childish enough to argue back and forth while avoiding the subject at hand.
Bottom line:
You got schooled in Collecting from someone who's childish and immature
I got schooled in Childish and Immature from someone who's not too knowledgeable at Collecting.
Hello!
I came across this earlier post & wondered if anyone would still be interested in buying the boxset?
To save another argument as was had previously I can assure you all that it is in mint condition.
It has never been opened and is still sealed.
If you are interested send me an email akestles@hotmail.com
Thanks!
